Projection Admin 7/16



To do this evening/ was completed: There is a FOH meeting tomorrow, so I've scheduled staff screenings for Friday and Monday, steering clear of T1 for any maintenance. 

Weekly update is out and it is imperative that you read the introduction. Thank you!

Note: Punks can get inspected this evening. We have a tech this Friday. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Adjusted the F1 playlists. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: School screening went well today! Started earlier than 10:30, which was great. 

Cristina put me in touch with the host for the shorts program on the 12th of August. I looped in Alec since I'll be gone in August, despite being able to help with prep. Deadline for content delivery will be the 29th of July.

In touch with the NewFest folks for accessibility features we can accommodate. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received and ingested the director's cut of Touch of Evil. Mentioned this during the cinema meeting and reached out to Cristina and Conrad. Settled on the director's cut (OG release is still available). 

Ingested DCPs for Fantastic Four

Received the print of Punks, brought this to T1. 

DCP'd all three Gunsmith Cats films. The first one has been ingested via the share drive. The second film is still transcoding in T1 to the desktop. The 3rd short is finishing in 4/6. I made sure all of these were adjusted in DCPomatic to be in Japanese with English subs. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Reached out to Brad from Film Tech about shipping Nickel Boys since it'll be a UPS situation. They will likely schedule a pickup for us. Print came with return labels which are attached to the cans now. 

I got rid of all past DCP features we don't need. Cleared out a bunch of trailers. 

Print/video Inspection: Nickel Boys re-inspected.

Marquee updated?:  Added Punks to the Marquee on the 35mm side, adjusted the front.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Admin (Lillian/Will) 7/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there!
