NPP Projection Report 9/26 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: I did some testing with our new fire alarm cues. I'm still not 100% certain what happened yesterday which caused the issue at the Cyborg screening, but I did discover that the 35mm motors won't start and lamps won't strike if the "Fire Alarm Pause" cue has been fired, until you fire the "Fire Alarm Reset" cue. Lillian only fired the reset cue yesterday, though. Perhaps the fire alarm went off again later in the day and she wasn't aware, preventing the motors and lamps from turning on until Will and I hit the reset cue. In any case, whenever the fire alarm goes off in the future, we should always confirm that the 35mm machines are working properly once the alarm ceases.

10/3 preshow content ingested, all 10/3 A1 playlists built with the exception of Smashing Machine.

Ordering/Receiving (content): We are circuiting the Scream print to the Gap Theater in PA. I printed out their address and attached it to the wall in the T1 booth. Please attach it to the can or box when this print arrives so we don't forget.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I cleared some features off of the T1, 2, 3, and 4 servers to make some space.

Print/video Inspection: Inspected Black Dynamite, very nice condition. On house reels. Prints of Mr. Vampire and Supernatural arrived, they're in T1.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: The new RCA splitter is set up in Trees. Plex works on the TVs above the bar again!

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift):

Marquee updated?: We have a marquee rental for the 9/29 event. It's quite a long message so I made sure we have all the letters for it and we do. I set them aside in 3/7.

Posters updated?: I tried taking down Highest 2 Lowest but the case would not open, I think because it was in direct sunlight, though the one below it opened much easier, so I don't think that's the only thing contributing to this one getting stuck. Please take this down tonight when it cools down, it should be easier to open then. I was going to replace it with One Battle After Another after putting Anemone in that spot (and Tron up in the lobby). I opted to take down Caught Stealing so we have an OBAA poster up. Caught can go up in place of H2L later.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. NPP Projection Admin (Lillian/Will) 7/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
