Projection Admin 9/17



To do this evening/ was completed: Hey y'all more links are being added to the NewFest master doc, so please, please keep up with downloading and ingesting these. Remember that there are folders (we can add a fourth) for the programs on the preshows/trailers drive. I see the info is updated on the spreadsheet for what's been downloaded/ingested, but it helps to see where they are on the drive. - Lillian 

Schedule for October is up! Please see my email from today, which has some reminders about scheduling for the rest of the year. -AL


Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlists for Him and Spinal Tap 2. Scheduled these shows on the LMS for the next week. - Lillian

Special Events/ AV set up: Double checked the special events for tonight- all good. - Lillian

Ingested the following: Feature DCPS -  Debs, French/Italian, One Battle After Another, Him, Anomalisa. 
Ingested the following shorts: Americanized, If I Die in America, Are U Fucking Kidding Me. I wound up making the DCP of Americanized today, which ingested just fine. - Lillian 
Caught up with the Gotham folks to let them know that Asia A filmmaker/editor has yet to upload a proper DCP, so we might as well just make a DCP in house, but I've asked for them to check in with the filmmaker about it. Additionally, I got my eyes on Tita today and let them know that the audio/captions are correct! - Lillian 
NF short Meal Pal failed once again. Bummer. I've let Chrissy know.  - Lillian 
Ingested Him 15min preshow and Mockumentary 5min preshow - Lil

Humanoids (DCP from AGFA) is currently downloading to the Share drive. Keep it open. - Lillian

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Godfather 3 went out. 

Print/video Inspection: Tech'd all the NoBudge shorts with Desmond in T1 today. I wrote down the ratios/volumes on the Event Memo! - Lillian

Inspected reel one and reel three of Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (started with 3 because the shipping reel came apart). It’s in very good condition! Please continue to inspect tonight. -AL


Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Cleared up some space on the LMS/theatres that needed some TLC. - Lillian 

Looked at the mic connection to the webcam in T2 and got it sorted. The camera app on the PC was defaulting to the built-in mic on the computer when recording video, even though the settings on the PC had the mic input from the webcam (which is the direct line from the Shure mixer) selected. I completely disabled the PC mic in the settings which solved it. I showed Jack and we duplicated these settings in T1. -AL


Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Added One Battle After Another formula to the cue sheets - Lillian FYI we don't have the preshow for OBAA yet

Marquee updated?: Godfather needs to get taken off, but it's been raining, so we'll have to wait. We can also add a 35mm to Sisterhood on the brunch side

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Admin (Lillian/Will) 7/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there!
