NPP Projection Report 10/14 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled the coming week in the LMS. There are a few SE exemptions, playlists still need to be made.

Inspected reels two through five of Blade of Fury--all reels feature English subtitles. There was a small section or two where I saw Chinese characters with no English beneath them on reel three. Print is on house reels.

Tech'd both of tonight's NewFest programs with Desmond, good to go.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Per a request from NewFest, I increased the volume on all forthcoming shorts +1.0. I also raised the volume of their trailer to 4.5 for T3 and 5.0 for Theater 1 in all playlists.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: I set up the DJ equipment for the party in Trees tonight. The CDJs are connected to the mixer and that's connected to our sound system. I tested everything and it's good to go. There's also a 1/8" cable if they want to connect their laptop as well. Plus an ethernet hookup should they need that.

I set up the mics in Theater 1 (4 wireless plus 1 wired) but did not get a chance to set up Theater 3. -- T3 mics were set earlier during tech today.

The screening of Frankenstein for Cinema today was cancelled so please keep the feature on the LMS. They're looking to reschedule.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. NPP Projection Admin (Lillian/Will) 7/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
