NPP Projection Report 10/8 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed:We're probably getting Bugonia on 35mm. I'm giving the platter in T1 some tests. So far so good.

Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops for Bones and set up a mic for the intro.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested If I Had Legs I'd Kick You, After the Hunt, and regular 7.1 versions of House of Dynamite. The Atmos version was ingested for the latter. This would play fine, but since we're not an Atmos theater we should just ingest the regular 7.1 version.

I started transcoding My Beautiful Laundrette. Since this is a file we don't need to use MakeMKV, that's only for ripping blu-rays. I trimmed out the logos from the beginning with DCP-o-matic (a Criterion logo and a newly added MGM one) so we don't need to have the dowser closed at the start.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I deleted some features which are closing over the next few days (Weapons, Him, Caught Stealing, and Spinal Tap II) from the LMS only to make space for the new first run features I ingested.

I also deleted my KPop Demon Hunters DCP from the LMS since I don't know when this private event will be. DCP is still on the Share folder.

I canceled the Supernatural FedEx shipment and pickup, thinking it would be shipped by DHL as usual, but I was mistaken. In any case, Universal sent us a label which I forwarded to Jack to print and schedule a pickup for tomorrow.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. NPP Projection Admin (Lillian/Will) 7/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
