NPP Projection Open 1/4

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Screened The Flying Guillotine for Sundays on Fire and immediately ran into a technical issue at the top of reel 2 on projector 1 as no sound was coming through the speakers in the auditorium or via the processor after the change over was made. I brought the lights up to pre-show levels, alerted the MODs, and got in touch with Cristina about the problem while I was troubleshooting it. I tried flipping the breakers off and on, thinking this might remedy the issue the way it had for the lamp I had trouble striking before the feature (I switched the projector from manual, which would strike the lamp, then back to auto and strike the lamp again from the switch below after switching to auto turned it off...this seemed to work just fine as long as I set it to manual first before doing anything else) but it did not seem to have any effect on the analog sound head's ability to read the track on the print. I got in touch with Alec and Lillian about this and asked if there was any problem similar to it during the 35mm show in T1 yesterday morning. I checked all wires connected to the projector and the rear of the processor and did not see anything out of place. I blew compressed air on the cylinder near the reader to clear any obstructions and ran the film, checking to see if levels were up on the processor. Seeing none, I changed over, ran the film a little more and repeated this a few more times to no avail. Finally I decided it would be better to try and salvage the show by running everything off projector 2. I let the MODs and Cristina know and the show resumed with 30-45 gaps in between each subsequent reel. The show ended roughly 30 minutes behind schedule with the initial interruption and stops and starts but the rest of the staff moved quickly and turned the room over for the next near sold out screening.
