Projection Admin 2/13



To do this evening/ was completed: Preshow bits we are waiting on - Satoshi 15min, Dog Day 5min.  (The Dog Day 5min preshow is available on Google drive. I'm waiting to see if these finish uploading to the Share folder as they are currently processing). - LH

Tech'd Corpse Bride, Love & Friendship, How to Make Millions... - all playlists have been updated. LH

Ghost print inspected, on house reels. Ditto Dog Day Afternoon.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built all first run playlists for the week of 2/20 including many SE playlists with the exception of some SE R-Rated features that are downloading or a need a few adjustments still. I ingested all Oscar Shorts DCPs (live action, animated and documentary) though I only made playlists for the animated and live action shorts, since we normally don't show the docs. We shall find out more when the schedule comes out. - LH

Trailer Updates: All trailers updated in new playlists. 

Special Events/ AV set up:

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):
Ingested Monsters Inc, Riding in Cars with Boys, Urusei, Scream7_V5, Projected Hail Mary_V5. - LH

Ordering/Receiving (content): 
Ingested - Academy Shorts 25min,15min,5min preshow, 5 min Kink preshow (added to all Pillion playlists), Satoshi 5min preshow, downloaded and ingested two trailers of Soderbergh's trailers (we're waiting on a 30 sec video piece in addition to these). I noticed the Spy preshow was listed for Secret Agent in the 2/20 trailer list we received today but in the 2/13 playlists, the Spies preshow was being used and the Spy preshow was not on the LMS yet. Not sure if we got this preshow late and it was just being used a placeholder or what, but I've downloaded/added it to all Secret Agent playlists for this week and the next. - LH

FYI - keys for Kubo and the Two Strings will open on 2/15, and the keys for Trouble in Paradise come in on 2/17! - LH

DCPs currently downloading to the Share folder - Ganja and Hess (again. something got mucked up yesterday when downloading so I have it going again via filemail). Also downloading via filemail is Blknws, which we also have the KDMs for. Blithe Spirit is also downloading! - LH

Maintenance/cleaning: DMS suggested swapping the servers in T3 and T7 to help isolate the problem with T3 losing connection. I did this today and got everything set so there won't be any disruptions to usual projection operation. No problems so far, but I've been in contact with Casey there and will let him know of any developments. -A

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
