Projection Admin 2/25



To do this evening/ was completed: I tested it earlier today and Plex is running just fine now. Not sure what happened, but we'll need to make sure we're only pulling from our bank of movies. 

Had our cinema meeting today and we're in good hands right now, waiting on a few things for the later week, but we're in solid shape right now. Scheduled and sent out staff screenings including the encore screenings of Sirat. 

Ran Ferris Bueller off the PC for staff early this morn. No issues in T3 this first leg of the day.  

Deluxe was not ingesting DCPs this morning, which was curious. Essentially, it kept vanishing on me and wouldn't ingest anything to the LMS, but ingesting to an IMS was fine. I resaved the ftp info for Deluxe/Screenwriter, rebooted, everything started working just fine again. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked the playlist for A Time to Kill  - added the masking cue for Film Scope so that the curtain is flush against the image. 

Adjusted playlists with the Femme Photographers trailer, kept building SE playlists and for The Bride/Hoppers.  

Trailer Updates: Drama trailer, Minions&Monsters trailer and Femme Photographers ingest. 

Special Events/ AV set up: If the dimensions are ever off for a film that we rip via BluRay, just pop it into Handbrake to fix it. I cancelled the first DCP of Crazy Stupid Love since I noticed it was letterboxing. This has since been fixed and is transcoding to the George Ivan drive in T1. Earlier in the day I downloaded the Air Bud files for another private event to this drive, so once Crazy Stupid Love is done, we can DCP Air Bud. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested 5min The Bride preshow. 
I've asked Kat to upload he 15min Frankenstein preshow for The Bride since I can't find it on the LMS or any drive...I might've deleted this after the Del Toro flick, but I thought we had it on a drive somewhere. In any case, I'm assuming it's the old one and not a new one despite the fact that it is highlighted on the trailer list...she's copying over now! Gonna take an hour or so. 

Ingested Hoppers and The Bride

DCPs we received for the 2nd and 3rd soderbergh intros weren't showing up/ingesting no matter what, so I made the DCPs myself. These have been ingested. We now have all 5 of them. 
We also received the intro video for the Dark Room shorts, which I also DCP'd and ingested to the LMS. 

Received the print of Creed today. I put this in T1.

Maintenance/cleaning: Brought the Time To Kill cans up from T1 since this is screening in T4 tonight. Swapped lenses/plates and ran loops. Added some more grease to the gears to make things a little smoother.

8 percent until the warning that the T6 lamp needs to be changed. 

Waiting to hear back from DMS regarding some outstanding projects including T3 issues. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Added the formulas for The Bride and Hoppers to the sheets/Thursday next week.

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
