Projection Close 2/7



To do this evening/ was completed: Manual starts went just fine tonight. T3 stable. Lost connection briefly in T6 but only at the end of One Battle, and it didn't interrupt playback of course. I did the usual the resat the ethernet cable and it's all fine. This happens every now and again.

Special Events/ AV set up: Tested the cable connection in T2 since we've got the Super Bowl in there tomorrow. Friendly reminder- all you'll need to do is hit HDMI 16x9 on the christie, choose Digital 4 on the processor and you're good to go. I'd have the volume no higher than 5.0! Sounded pretty good at 4.5 but I'm not sure how big the crowd will be. You might have to press a button every now and again if the monitor goes into standby mode. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Raekwon dropped off the blurays for our upcoming private events, one of which is Get Out, which I ripped and ran through Handbrake. It is now DCPing in T1. The second BluRay, which is Spy Kids, can get done tomorrow. 

Got keys for Arco, The Hunger

Outgoing/Shipping (content): 

Print/video Inspection: Inspected reels 3 - 7 of Dog Day Afternoon, which is on shipping reels tails out ready for house reels when the time comes. Started inspecting A Time to Kill, the first reels of which are back on shipping reels tails out. In good condition! Photos are on the drive for Conrad.

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
