To do this evening/ was completed: Pillion leaves tomorrow! - L

I've sent emails about this and mentioned it in blogs as well as in person, but we should not be using HandBrake anymore since DCP-o-matic can do everything HandBrake can without encoding down the quality of the video. There are detailed instructions for using DCP-o-matic to scale video to eliminate letter/pillarboxing (for both scope and flat films), burn in subtitles, and change the audio track in the manual, sections linked above. Please read all of this through completely and let me know if anything is unclear. -A 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Updated The Bride playlists with 15min Frankenstein preshow. Scheduled missing shows for next Weds/Thurs. - LH 

Trailer Updates: Femme photographers trailer sounds good at 4.0! - L

Special Events/ AV set up: Ganja and Hess all sorted for tonight. Updated playlist. - LH

DCP'd the special birthday video (preshow) for the private event for Crazy Stupid Love. Feature DCP will be done soon, but, before ingesting it, please make the DCP for Airbud and finish it to the same drive (George Ivan), then we can ingest both! - LH

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested 15min Frankenstein preshow. Received new Q&A slide for Cutting Through Rocks, which has been DCP'd and ingested. I deleted the old slide. - LH

Reached out for the key extension for Good Luck -LH

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Printed out labels and scheduled a pickup for A Time to Kill, which is on its way out. - LH

Print/video Inspection: Tech'd Cutting through Rocks, Scream 7 and Blknews. All playlists are ready to go. - LH

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. 

Marquee updated?: Added Scream 7 to the front and reorganized first run titles. Adjusted 35mm side and added Girls About Town and Creed (with their dates). Adjusted brunch side with BLKNews. - LH

Posters updated?: Updated banner for Scream 7.

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
