NPP Projection Report 3/25 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Ingest Mr. Nobody Against Putin and Revelations of Divine Love.

Convert Snowy Bing Bongs to DCP.

Build and schedule the Stranger By The Lake and Super Mario Galaxy playlists when their preshows are downloaded/ingested.

For tomorrow/Friday: They Will Kill You has a 2.20:1 aspect ratio in the standard flat container.
-Nothing we haven't dealt with before, but we're going to have to reset masking presets as we adjusted them for Undertone's 2.12:1 aspect ratio.
-I think we should just set the 2.20 masking presets (and Variable Ratio in 3 and 7) back to the true 2.20 and present Undertone (which is probably close to leaving us anyway) in this masking, so there will be some black on the sides for the remaining Undertone shows.
-I already set the Variable Ratio preset to 2.20 in T3 since I put the They Will Kill You staff screening in there tomorrow.

Presentation Issues: Cleaning lights didn't go off at the start of the first preshow in T2 again today. Went down when I fired the cue and other light cues in the playlist went through fine. We can try rebooting the ALMS to see if that does the trick.

Special Events/ AV set up: Teched Do The Right Thing. All set for tonight!

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We got posters for The Christophers

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested They Will Kill You, Stranger By The Lake, The Drama, and Super Mario Galaxy to the LMS. Downloaded the content for Snowy Bing Bongs and Friends screening on 4/16 and started making the DCPs:
  1. Rube (converted, in the Share folder) 
  2. Master of the House (came as a DCP, in the Share folder)
  3. Joe Pera Teaches You to Dance (converted, in the Share folder)
  4. Rachel (converting to the Share folder)
  5. Snowy Bing Bongs (still needs to be converted)
Also received some DCP download links: Mr Nobody Against Putin and Revelations of Divine Love. The former is downloaded and copying to George Ivan, the latter is currently downloading to that same hard drive.

Had to reach out to Deluxe for new Good Luck Have Fun keys, as per usual. They came in shortly after.

I ran the trailer reel on both T4 projectors again today, light remained steady on both throughout.

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
