Projection Admin 4/8



To do this evening/ was completed: Cinema meeting went well - we have everything we need for this week. I'm in touch with Chenelle for upcoming private events. Staff Screening info out on 7shifts, blocked on the cal and scheduled on the LMS. 

I sent an email out to projection today about the laptop. We'll need to get a new one soon, but it's important you plug it in before you leave for the evening/during the day when you're not using it. 

Vlad will be coming to fix the table lights in T7 sometime soon, next few days, hopefully. We're also gonna get that AC fixed in 3/7. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Went through the whole show for Opening Nite. Everything looks good. Gave Jack a few easy notes. Should be a breeze! 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Setup the DJ equipment with John and tested everything. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received, this morning, another version of Doctor Death Grip, which I added to the Opening Nite playlist after testing the file. 

Started DCPing Heavy Healing (the file downloaded yesterday was a pro res, not a DCP, but they only sent us video files instead of an actual DCP, so it's all good! It had a similar title to a DCP). This should finish transcoding in a couple hours. 

Downloaded and ingested Jimmy and Demons. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Inspected the first three reels of Sign of the Cross. Great condition!!

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
