NPP Projection Report 6/3 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Staff screenings are out and about on 7shifts, blocked on the calendar and scheduled on the LMS. 

Note: we're officially getting The Odyssey on 35mm, so we'll run some platter tests soon. 

Disclosure Day DCPs should be available in a couple hours. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlists for Masters of the Universe and scheduled them on the LMS. 

Tech'd Stolen Kingdom and adjusted the playlist. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Please put on the Knicks game in Trees tonight at 8:30. It's on ABC (channel 507, already up on the cable box). They'd also like to play it with sound. I connected the XLR cables so just switch the projector to Digital Link and turn the amps on and the DJ1&2 volume knob up (and make sure the volume is turned up on the projector).

We are all set for Fabulous Stains tonight. 

I set the Variable Ratio Masking preset to 1.50 in T3 for Obsession.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We got Masters of the Universe posters. I filed them away in the caddy.

Downloaded the slide for Heroes for Sale. This can get DCP'd. 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the DCP for Chocolate Babies, but it's not ingesting, even after I redownloaded the video file twice, so I'm using the h264 they sent to make a DCP in T1. Please ingest once it is done. Thanks! 

Similar Differences is DCPing in 4/6. It will take a couple more hours. 

Downloaded the file for Shakedown, which can get DCPd once Similar Differences is done (4/6). 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Victim is packed up, Matthew will bring it over to Williamsburg tomorrow; they show it at the end of the month.

Print/video Inspection: Looked at the DVD of Troop Beverly Hills in 6 for tomorrow. Nothing was working trying to convert the rip to DCP--the audio was always out of sync no matter what. In any case, we're all set for tomorrow with the DVD, going to be fine.

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
