NPP Projection Report 8/18 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: We do not need to provide post-screening inspection reports for Sony prints. The only place that requests two reports is Academy Film Archive. So we can just pack their prints up after the screenings, provided there are no issues which necessitate another inspection.

Special Events/ AV set up: Ran loops for The Fan.

Ran a loop for Odyssey and threaded the show for tonight.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Escape from L.A. print arrived, it's in booth 1.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Packed up Blind Fury, we can arrange pickup with Sony after The Fan tonight.

Print/video Inspection: Looked at Dagger of Kamui and added cues to the playlist

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: The poster cubby was getting out of hand. I cleared a lot of stuff and put together a tube of posters for trivia giveaway tonight. As far as keeping posters for trivia, we can definitely be more conservative with what we keep. Only stuff that people will actually want. And as mildly amusing as I thought it was that Ice Cream Man was among the trivia posters, I doubt many guests would share that feeling, so I threw it out.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Built cue sheets for next week. All that's missing is credit timing for Is God Is and Bound.

Marquee updated?: I Want Your Sex was still up on the marquee despite closing last week. I took it down.

Posters updated?: Yes, IWYS down. Moved things around and put up Hope in the lobby.

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. NPP Projection Report 11/23 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Checked the Home Alone DCP ahead of the private event this morning, no issues. The party was a bit late seating, so the movie start was a little bit delayed. Overall it ran smoothly. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Kat will be making a DCP of Guardians of the Galaxy tomorrow for the private event in T1 on Tuesday morning. Chenelle will get the blu-ray sent over here for us to have as backup. I set up the blu-ray player so it's connected to both the monitor and the projector, in case we end up needing to use the blu-ray. I sent Lillian and McKegg an email about this separately. I checked the scope blu-ray projector channel in Theater 1 and it's good to go should we need to screen the blu-ray. I started the DCP of Death Race 2000 on the T1 Mac. NPP Projection Close 9/6

To do this evening/ was completed: Built more SE playlists: Godfather III, Triplets of Belville, Tropic Thunder (SAT), Mimic, Sundays on Fire, Thelma and Louise.  Made a DCP of Ramona Slick's song for the Thelma show. I couldn't locate the Curtain Call/Breakdown DCP Alec made when searching for "curtain call", so I went through the transfer history and saw that it had been ingested. Nevertheless when I searched for it it wouldn't appear. So I dragged into the Share folder and didn't receive any message about the file already existing there. Re-ingested. Went to inspect Vicious Lips but it turns out that we were sent a different print inside of cans labeled "Vicious Lips". The print is a movie called The Vampire Lovers. I looked at the first two reels while I watched Vampire Lovers on Dailymotion and it's for sure the same film. Emailed Cristina. Rain continued on this evening so I was not able to change the marquee back on the brunch side. I did...
