NPP Projection Report 8/4 Admin

HEADS UP: I decided not to schedule any of the R rated first run playlists for Thursday 8/13. All of the 8/7 R playlists have the Oak Street, Tony, and Miasma trailers, which all open early on the 13th, so we might as well just schedule next week's version of these playlists for this day.

Everything else, besides the early opens on 13th and Heat Lightning, is scheduled.

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Seems like the way we build babies playlists is a bit inconsistent. Let's follow this template going forward:
-30 min Preshow, lights UP, volume 3.2 for everything
-Trailers, lights MID, volume 3.5 (unless there's a book promo, which should be 3.0)
-Feature, volume 1.0-1.5 lower than usual, lights stay at MID and come UP for credits
I put this in the manual, too.

Built CatVideoFest.

Staff screenings scheduled, announced, and blocked on calendar.

Trailer Updates: This has been a known thing for a while, but the book promos (all of them) are way, way, way too loud at 4.0. 3.7 is also way too loud, and even 3.5 is still a bit much. These should always play at 3.3, never higher. For babies playlists it should go down to 3.0. Please pay attention to this because if one of these plays at 3.7 or 4 it is really jarring and kind of uncomfortable to sit through. These had been cued properly in playlists recently, but it seems someone got rid of them. I added them back.

Special Events/ AV set up: Trivia table is out

WTO/99 is all good for tonight. I put the four chairs out for the Q&A.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Never After Dark to LMS/T3 for the Cinema team preview next Friday.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Looked at Wild Inside for Thursday and CatVideoFest 2026 for the weekend. Playlists are set.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Changed a ceiling bulb in T5

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Made formulas for One Night Only, End of Oak Street, and Tony.

Cue sheets for next week are complete with the exception of the Camp Miasma shows on 8/13

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. NPP Projection Report 11/23 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Checked the Home Alone DCP ahead of the private event this morning, no issues. The party was a bit late seating, so the movie start was a little bit delayed. Overall it ran smoothly. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Kat will be making a DCP of Guardians of the Galaxy tomorrow for the private event in T1 on Tuesday morning. Chenelle will get the blu-ray sent over here for us to have as backup. I set up the blu-ray player so it's connected to both the monitor and the projector, in case we end up needing to use the blu-ray. I sent Lillian and McKegg an email about this separately. I checked the scope blu-ray projector channel in Theater 1 and it's good to go should we need to screen the blu-ray. I started the DCP of Death Race 2000 on the T1 Mac. NPP Projection Close 9/6

To do this evening/ was completed: Built more SE playlists: Godfather III, Triplets of Belville, Tropic Thunder (SAT), Mimic, Sundays on Fire, Thelma and Louise.  Made a DCP of Ramona Slick's song for the Thelma show. I couldn't locate the Curtain Call/Breakdown DCP Alec made when searching for "curtain call", so I went through the transfer history and saw that it had been ingested. Nevertheless when I searched for it it wouldn't appear. So I dragged into the Share folder and didn't receive any message about the file already existing there. Re-ingested. Went to inspect Vicious Lips but it turns out that we were sent a different print inside of cans labeled "Vicious Lips". The print is a movie called The Vampire Lovers. I looked at the first two reels while I watched Vampire Lovers on Dailymotion and it's for sure the same film. Emailed Cristina. Rain continued on this evening so I was not able to change the marquee back on the brunch side. I did...
