Projection Admin 8/24



To do this evening/ was completed: Ran house checks. Over the weekend we had a brief complaint during what wound up being the trailers section (in T5) in which a patron said no sound was coming from one of the left side speakers, but I'm assuming it was a centre channel trailer. I went through the playlist that was running at the time, today, and everything sounded normal to me. 

Looks like we've got no more Odyssey shows for the rest of the week, but I'm standing by until we receive the new film schedule. I haven't heard anything from Brad at Film Tech just yet. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Bound playlist all set. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Setup the PA - speakers all set, yamaha mixer, wireless mixer for Bound tonight. Few things - I DCP'd the Jennifer Tilly video and added it to the playlist, took out Vigor's performance since they can't make it. Event memo updated. I went through the entire playlist, double checked volume (for the feature as well) and added all the lighting information to the memo ROS section, so it should be a breeze this evening. Both mics have been tested, you just need to turn everything on, including the speakers. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested Tommy to T3 as per the swap. Ingested Coyote vs Acme preshow. 

Received keys for Secrets n Lies, Camp Miasma and End of Oak Street.

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Inspected the first seven reels (lotta reels) of New York, New York, which is in good condition. There are two reels left of this, which can get finished up tonight! 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes. Updated today.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. Desmond also updated the event memo for Bound.

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. NPP Projection Report 11/23 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Checked the Home Alone DCP ahead of the private event this morning, no issues. The party was a bit late seating, so the movie start was a little bit delayed. Overall it ran smoothly. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Kat will be making a DCP of Guardians of the Galaxy tomorrow for the private event in T1 on Tuesday morning. Chenelle will get the blu-ray sent over here for us to have as backup. I set up the blu-ray player so it's connected to both the monitor and the projector, in case we end up needing to use the blu-ray. I sent Lillian and McKegg an email about this separately. I checked the scope blu-ray projector channel in Theater 1 and it's good to go should we need to screen the blu-ray. I started the DCP of Death Race 2000 on the T1 Mac. NPP Projection Close 9/6

To do this evening/ was completed: Built more SE playlists: Godfather III, Triplets of Belville, Tropic Thunder (SAT), Mimic, Sundays on Fire, Thelma and Louise.  Made a DCP of Ramona Slick's song for the Thelma show. I couldn't locate the Curtain Call/Breakdown DCP Alec made when searching for "curtain call", so I went through the transfer history and saw that it had been ingested. Nevertheless when I searched for it it wouldn't appear. So I dragged into the Share folder and didn't receive any message about the file already existing there. Re-ingested. Went to inspect Vicious Lips but it turns out that we were sent a different print inside of cans labeled "Vicious Lips". The print is a movie called The Vampire Lovers. I looked at the first two reels while I watched Vampire Lovers on Dailymotion and it's for sure the same film. Emailed Cristina. Rain continued on this evening so I was not able to change the marquee back on the brunch side. I did...
