NPP Projection Close 10/22

To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built show playlists for Ginger Snaps for both days this weekend + converted and ingested a slide for the Sunday intro and added it to the playlist

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: NewFest intro and screening went smoothly in theater 6; ran into some issues with the spots in theater 1 -- the 803 setting, despite it being specified and in bold on the event memo, was not the correct one according to the NF staff, so I changed it to on the fly to remove the red wash which was present for some reason(???)

I mistakenly put up the "Queer Mixer" slide on the bar TVs and the "T4T" slide on the projector screen at Trees, was alerted of the mistake and told (correctly by Alec, I should specify) that a looping video with the T4T slide and other NF content was to be played on the screen and a static T4T slide was meant to be on the TVs ...Galen told me only the still T4T slide was supposed to be up. All this is to say I disconnected the laptop from the HDMI cable and switched the source back to Plex so the static image will be looping for the remainder of the mixer
update: the Apple TV box was going into sleep/screensaver mode intermittently throughout the event at Trees and it was too busy for me to look into further...Desmond was (thankfully) there with the remote to wake it up -- NF will not need it for their closing night but I'm genuinely curious as to why this happened to begin with since there was no issue during Tuesday's mixer

Spotify went down at Trees right as the mixer was beginning...I was radioed, went downstairs, and rebooted the app on the bar iPad to get it up and running again

Post-screening Q&A in theater 1 went well + brought the mics back up to charge and placed the stand back beneath the curtain; mixer got underway with the guests from this round joining at the bar

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Additional The Only Living Pickpocket in New York posters were delivered and stored behind 3/7

Ordering/Receiving (content): The Only Living Pickpocket in New York feature content was made available via Deluxe but is not yet visible on the FilmVault portal

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Finished adding playlists to the LMS and updated the weekend cues accordingly + double checked all cues for tomorrow and everything is in order

Marquee updated?: Took down outgoing first run titles and added letters for Clayface, Klara and the Sun, and Wildwood

Additional Notes: A guest asked for a closed captions device at the start of the last round in theater 2; this was returend after the show

Projection Admin 9/18

To do this evening/ was completed: Big day for teching. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Kat sent a new QR code clip which I tech'd volume for and added to all the 9/18 and SE playlists we have. The volume (3.8) has been noted on the white board. Projection Admin 9/2

To do this evening/ was completed: Our Network has been updated. Nick from DMS came in to drop off the relay mechanism and take a look at 3/7 before his install visit next week. I showed him in and around the space and he checked in with the WiFi guys. He also liased with Chris whilst scoping out the existing relay system in in 3/7.  It is still somewhat of a wreck in the 46 booth (cables and boxes that, to my knowledge, need to be thrown out, but I asked if they were going to clean up/what needs to be cleared out and I didn't get a proper response in both English and when I asked in Spanish lol so apparently someone might be coming round to finish that up tomorrow. If we don't, we can call Juan and double check. I did tidy things up though, so at least it's not absolute chaos in here.  Once the Network was up and properly running, I tested out theatres 4 and 6 to see if anything needed to be rebooted and lo n behold, only the dimmer panels needed to be rebooted in all the...
