Projection Admin 10/13



To do this evening/ was completed: Just a note on Jack's entry from the other day regarding the sound processor. So, this was also happening to me a bit but I'd reseat the 673 (the horizontal board that connects to the ribbon cable for the screen), unplug and then plug in the processor again, and it'd work. Just FYI - issues with the screen almost always means that nothing is wrong with the underlying processor itself, which is great, but what isn't is not being able to see the volume or track preference...
Right now it still takes a moment to turn on if you leave it a bit, but I understand that's a little unsettling, so I've replaced the T1 673 with the 673 from T6.

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Note!! The DCP for the private event Wednesday (Edward Scissorhands) is still transcoding and will likely finish early tomorrow morning, but keep an eye on it tonight just in case. 

Setup and tested the laptop connection for Karina's presentation today for precode. Went through this with Will. All set for this evening. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Organized today. Added Pick Pocket. 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Got the new preshow V2 for NewFest. I was having trouble with the DCP they sent, inspected it in DCPomatic and transcoded it again. Original DCP they sent popped up after a little while, but we've got the one I've made just in case. Ingested. 
Also got my eyes on Montreal My Beautiful and reported the specs back to Galen and Rachel. 

Ingested Fjord feature DCPs. 
Got new keys for Primetime, You Can See Everything

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Got the word that it's alright to ship Little Shop and Urgh back to HFC with FedEx Ground, so both of those are now packaged up and on the cart. They'll get picked up tomorrow. 

We should be getting an updated preshow from Kevin/Kat tomorrow. I'll get on eyes on it as soon as possible. 

Print/video Inspection:

Maintenance/cleaning: Adjusted 1.37 lenses, plates and port tape for this evening. Ran a reel of Devil for Cristina and we've brought up the volume to 8.5 (on white card) since it'll be a full house! 

Just noticed we're a moment away from the official warning sign for the end of the lifespan for T5 lamp, so I'll change that out tomorrow morning. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes. We just got the film schedule so we can start on the cue sheets tonight after precode. Thanks!

To do this evening/ was completed: Big day for teching. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Kat sent a new QR code clip which I tech'd volume for and added to all the 9/18 and SE playlists we have. The volume (3.8) has been noted on the white board. Projection Admin 9/2

To do this evening/ was completed: Our Network has been updated. Nick from DMS came in to drop off the relay mechanism and take a look at 3/7 before his install visit next week. I showed him in and around the space and he checked in with the WiFi guys. He also liased with Chris whilst scoping out the existing relay system in in 3/7.  It is still somewhat of a wreck in the 46 booth (cables and boxes that, to my knowledge, need to be thrown out, but I asked if they were going to clean up/what needs to be cleared out and I didn't get a proper response in both English and when I asked in Spanish lol so apparently someone might be coming round to finish that up tomorrow. If we don't, we can call Juan and double check. I did tidy things up though, so at least it's not absolute chaos in here.  Once the Network was up and properly running, I tested out theatres 4 and 6 to see if anything needed to be rebooted and lo n behold, only the dimmer panels needed to be rebooted in all the...
