Projection Admin 2/14



To do this evening/ was completed: Hey team. I sent out our weekly update today, detailing the upcoming week ahead, what's on and what we'll need to pay extra close attention to. Please take the time to get your eyes on it and reach out to me or Alec with any questions. Our (many!) staff screenings are out and on the theatre blocking calendar. 
We had our cinema meeting today and we're looking good on content, seems to just be a few pesky KDMs we're waiting on. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked the Paris, Texas playlist for tonight. Speaking of this playlist--and I mentioned this in our weekly update today--but on the cue sheet, this had 10 minutes of trailers instead of 5. Please remember that we can assume all special events will have 5 minutes of trailers, unless there's an event memo that says otherwise. This has happened a few times recently. Let's stay on it. 

Tech'd Madame Web, Bob Marley, and The Oscar Shorts. Note: there's a super loud intro by Ziggy Marley at the beginning of One Love, so the playlists start at 4.0, then gets raised after, about 20 seconds in. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: New spots are working now in Theater 3. Same as the ones in Theater 4 with the black remote. This is in that little plastic box behind the curtain next to the screen. I moved the old spots from Theater 3 over to 7 also. The remote for those is on the shelf in 3/7 with all the Expo markers - Alec

Set up the wireless mics for Shouting in Theater 2 tomorrow. Mixer just needs to be connected to the PA speakers and you should be good to go. Reset the HDMI connection from the stage as well. - Alec

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): Uploaded new KDMs for American Fiction, Poor Things, Argylle. 
Reached out to John as I checked the cpl for Tales of Hoffman and the KDM will expire before our final screening on Sunday. 

We received the DCP for The Sweet East today, which is downloading to the DCPII drive in 4/6. This should finish downloading around 7/8pm-ish. Keep an eye on it and let me know how it ingests.  Thanks! 

I am downloading the DCP of Wild Parrots to the DCPIII drive in T1!

Keys for Coffy come in on 2/16. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Car Wash print got picked up.

Reinspected and packed up Curse of the Cat People. Still needs the return label. - Alec

Print/video Inspection: Teching Buckaroo/ Four Weddings and a Funeral this Friday. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes. Updated today. 

Maintenance/cleaning: Put new radiator filters in the Theater 1 and 2 Christies. - Alec

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Filled out the rest of the cues for Thursday, made some updates to this upcoming week. To Kill A Tiger info added. Shouting added.

To do this evening/ was completed: Hey all! Well, we're just about there! Barbenheimer starts tomorrow. Alec and I ran the print this morning as a dress rehearsal to check image/sound and to give our lovely staff a first look. The print looks really beautiful and I'm very excited for this run. We'll get our eyes on the DCP tomorrow to compare sound, though we're almost certain the loud, static noises that occur during scenes of explosions or closeups of nuclear particles are intentional.  I want to share with everyone a document I've whipped up called Housekeeping Notes for the Projectionist: Plattering Oppenheimer. NPP Projection 11/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed:v Mandy ingested to T1. Reached out to Vision for new posters. Was placed on hold, which was more an unending cycle of pressing 1 for hold and then being told to press 0 for voicemail or 1 for hold. Point being I left a voicemail requesting new posters. Gave them our account number, location and my cell. Outgoing marquee letters taken down. 11/10 playlists and forecasts deleted, Chicken Run V2 and Christmas Action trailers downloaded and ingested, 11/24 A1 playlists and packs built. Inspected Raising Cain print. It's in good condition, minimal scratching, no splices. Inspection sheet filled out. Transferred Marvels content to T6, as it was missing from the server due to the 1:20 tomorrow being a manual start.
