Projection Admin 2/7

To do this evening/ was completed: A reminder for Sundays on Fire: The opening credits do not fill the screen entirely. You'll notice some black on the right side of the frame. Don't be alarmed by this.

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: All A1 playlists for the week of 2/14 have been built including most special events, despite the fact that we gotta tech a couple of these. Also, I did not build OCAP playlists for each feature, just a few. We'll rearrange once we have the new schedule on Monday. - Lillian 

Trailer Updates: All new trailer packs have been built. - Lillian

Special Events/ AV set up: The optical cables arrived and I connected them to the HDMI audio extractors/CP750s in Theaters 1 and 2. I set the decode mode for the Digital 4 input (to which the optical cables are connected) to "ProLogic," which gives you mono, stereo, or surround sound as appropriate. Be aware though, it is quite loud. For the Superbowl, I'd start at 4.0 or 4.5. -AL

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received the new trailer list and content from Kat. Downloaded and/or ingested the following: Uptown Girls trailer, Paddington in Peru 5min, All Ages V7 25min/15min, all of the Nicolas Cage V2.2 preshow, Reconsider This 5min_Feb, Cinema Arabiyya preshow, and the Slide for Mandy. - Lillian

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: 
Tech'd Wallace n Gromit, playlist set. 
Tech'd Truck Turner (hosts/Cristina can set volume on the day, but it's 1.85, looks and sounds great). 
Tech'd Pieces in T1, which I can confirm is 1.66. Lenses are back to 1.85 for SOF this weekend. Run loops beforehand. - Lillian

Tech'd the Slumber Party Massacre content with Desmond. Volumes logged, spotlight settings logged. I will update the playlist/Run of Show document this weekend.

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Made permanent 1.33 masking presets in Theaters 1, 2, 4, and 6 and updated the lens/masking change pack on Screenwriter. I also deleted some of the "film" masking cues which we don't use, there are a handful of these which we do use and those I did not delete. -AL

When I was checking the 1.66 lens on P1, I decided that the image from this lens lines up with the screen better when it's in the collar we've been using for the 1.85 and scope lenses. I've relabeled the collars, pictured below.

I pulled a detailed report from the Theater 3 server and sent it to DMS to investigate the issue that popped up last night. I remember this happening earlier last year, but it's been stable for a while now. We'll see what DMS finds from the report. -AL

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Report 4/6 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 issue happened again, Carly radioed me that the second round preshow didn't start. I was able to restart the projector and put the preshow on about 12 minutes before lights down. Trailers/feature played fine after that. I wrote again to DMS and Jerry said he'll have a list of parts to replace on Monday. For the sake of clarity, here is everything I've gathered about this issue: -When it happens, you won't be able to control playback via the TMS, manually fire automation cues, or access the IMS web GUI at all -Schedules for Theater 3 will display as "KDM missing" and the storage health icon on the Overview page will say "Storage degraded," even though the storage is healthy and KDMs have been uploaded and are active. -This issue prevents the server from validating KDMs (even though they are there and valid), so encrypted content will not play with the server in this state.
