Projection Admin 5/19



To do this evening/ was completed: We're all set for NoBudge this evening. Will and I went through the whole playlist together. I only made two slight changes - added a 1min welcome to the top of the preshow so that it hits the allotted preshow time and put a 1.78 lens/masking set right before the intro slide so that it's properly masked (slide is a true 1.78) no need to add it to the end of the show for the Q&A as the last film is 1.78. - Lillian 

The Women has been moved to T4 - Will brought the reels up from T1. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Transferred and got our eyes on Colors Within/Killer of Sheep today. Both are unencrypted. Both look and sound good. Playlists adjusted.  - L

Look Who's Talking playlist has been built and with the Nostalgia Ultra preshow as per Kat's note from today. - L

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Abominable Phibes is all set (no proper intro, but someone from MOD will make a note about the soundtrack damage in the first reel as Cristina is sick). I adjusted the playlist a little, slide now included. Friendly reminder that the welcome/feature clips are 4.0. Will double checked the mic. - L

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Keys for MI8 come in tomorrow. Keys for Lilo will come in this evening, most likely. 
Received the DCP for Broken Social Scene event (It's All Gonna Break). Downloaded via filemail desktop app. Ingested to the LMS. Event memo for this has yet to be filled out. 
Kari from DHL let us know that we should be receiving the print of This Day and Age by 5/27. 
DCP'd/ingested the slide for Look Who's Talking. - L

Outgoing/Shipping (content): I scheduled a express pickup for Phibes/Barbershop to get picked up tomorrow, early afternoon, that way there's enough time to re-inspect in the morning if there isn't time tonight after the show. - L

Maintenance/cleaning: Gave the projectors in T4 a good clean (new air cans in there), ran loops for Phibes. Adjusted cp750 levels for LRS a bit after teching. Need more time for this. There's soft static coming from the Right Rear Surround, more than the others when it's not engaged. Sound is coming out of it, but the levels could be better. It's a lot softer than the LRS. - L

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection 6/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: PS107's event in theater 2 went smoothly and the mics were returned to the booth to charge following the show Set up for trivia at Trees Lounge this evening The Matrix Revolutions screening in theater 1 went well save for some alternating of volume levels throughout as the audio for the first few reels was very hushed compared to how loud the rest of it gets once the action starts in reels 4-7 (mics were returned to the booth to charge and both projectors were cleaned + exhausts shut) Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Received copies of  Best in Show and The Princess Bride for upcoming private events this week and began ripping  Best in Show through MakeMKV and HandBrake (update: the film is running through DCP-o-matic and should finish within 24 hours) Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection:  The...
