Projection Admin 6/12



To do this evening/ was completed: Weekly update is out. 

Phoenician Scheme masking is all in T7 for Friday, but like Alec previously mentioned, we can't bring in anything smaller than 1.78 in T5. I also remembered we have Friendship screening in there starting today, along with T6, but T5 can't accommodate 1.66 so I'm leaving it as is. I'd suggest we move shows around the screening rooms, but that feels like unnecessary work, I suppose. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Alice Jr, playlist is all set. 
Playlists for Compensation, I'm Your Venus have been built. For the week of 6/20. 
Built and scheduled the playlist for the school screening on 6/18. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up:  No memo, but the extended preshow and short film are all set to accompany the screening. 

Reached out to Desmond to see how content delivery is going for Bound and The Dog Movie/shorts films. 

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): I'm in contact with the teachers for the PS107 documentary screening. They're waiting on parental consent for one child (I don't entirely know what this has to do with sending the file...) but they should be sending the film over soon, hopefully tomorrow! I'll keep y'all updated. 

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Cleared content we don't need from these servers: 1, 2, 3, 4.


Print/video Inspection: Will inspected Big Top Pee Wee, which we received today. Photos have been added to the drive! 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?:

Maintenance/cleaning: Ran loops and changed out the lenses in T1. I trust everyone will, at some point, see my email about the RP40 loop. I also have a note for Alec about the turret on P1, but in any case, we're all set for tonight's showing of The Queen. 

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes! Added the info for Alice Jr. and double checked times today. We will add The Goonies info once the keys open up tomorrow morning. Added Big Top Pee Wee info

I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection 6/17 Close

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: PS107's event in theater 2 went smoothly and the mics were returned to the booth to charge following the show Set up for trivia at Trees Lounge this evening The Matrix Revolutions screening in theater 1 went well save for some alternating of volume levels throughout as the audio for the first few reels was very hushed compared to how loud the rest of it gets once the action starts in reels 4-7 (mics were returned to the booth to charge and both projectors were cleaned + exhausts shut) Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Received copies of  Best in Show and The Princess Bride for upcoming private events this week and began ripping  Best in Show through MakeMKV and HandBrake (update: the film is running through DCP-o-matic and should finish within 24 hours) Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection:  The...
