NPP Projection Report 9/5 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: The brunch marquee needs to be updated for the TEAL rental tonight. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built/scheduled both Jackass playlists.

Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers):

Ordering/Receiving (content): We received The Longest Nite print, this month's Sundays on Fire selection. Brought it to booth 1.

Ingested Tropic Thunder.

Outgoing/Shipping (content): Fantastic Planet was picked up.

Print/video Inspection: Teched Jackass with Desmond, all set and the volume is noted. The print looks great.

We also looked at almost all of the shorts for the NSF animation showcase, the only exception being Nuevo Rico. Seems some glitch happened in the DCP conversion, it came on screen for a second then went black/silent. Reconverting this one.

We teched the content for the Thelma & Louise drag show. The curtain call DCP was just the song, no slide, so I remade that and ingested it.

Lastly, we looked at Feathers in T4. Only the non-subtitled OV version was downloaded, there is a VF with the English subs! I downloaded that, ingested it, and sent it to T4. Looked at it and confirmed the subtitles with Desmond, set the volume and got credit offset. Playlist has been updated.

Checked Son of the White Mare for volume and credits. It's also 1.37. Playlist updated.

Checked Conjuring briefly, fine at 5.5 but worth checking with a crowd as this one is selling well.

To do this evening/ was completed: Scheduled 1/3 - 1/9 in LMS. A few manual starts in there. I scheduled those shows just a minute or two after their real start time to get the content transferred, just FYI. Started building the cue sheets as well. Got the first three days done. Projection Admin (and Close) 10/19

To do this evening/ was completed: Real quick - It was a great day! For tonight, I've let MOD know that, since I'm more comfortable staying until most of the last round starts (due to some funky server issues we've been having), I'm going to go see a movie in T2 and can silently text with them if they need anything or should anything go wrong (knocking on wood).  Extremely thrilled to say that all three NewFest shows went very well this morning/afternoon. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. Thank you to Desmond, NewFest rockstar.  Desmond and I double checked all shows before doors. Gaffed the wired mics and tested everything. Since one guest for the q&a in T2 wasn't comfortable with the chairs, we swapped our directors chairs for the ones in the bar, which still worked super well with the slides and spots.  Had to ride the mic in trees a bit since everyone's got a differen...

NPP Projection Admin (Lillian/Will) 7/7

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there!
