NPP Projection Report 1/20 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: LMS scheduled for the coming week with a few exceptions. Still waiting on Sentimental Value DCP and Frankenstein needs a playlist. Cue sheets built as well.

Playlists built for The Birds and 13 Going On 30.

Marquee updated, brunch side back to usual.

Ran loops for tonight and set up mic/mixer in T4.

Tech'd Rhinestone, volume logged.

Presentation Issues: The color issue in T2, where the top half of the screen goes red, happened again at the start of the first round. I rebooted the projector, and also tried reseating the ICP and LEQD while it was off. On powering back up, the issue happened again, only flashing blue on the bottom half of the screen. I called DMS who indicated the ICP was likely the issue and we cancelled the first show. I found another ICP board in 4/6 and put that into the T2 projector since we had time to test it. This worked, Jack and I watched all the preshow into trailers (and Jack continued into the feature) and there were no issues, so we felt OK to reopen sales for the remaining two shows for the night. -AL

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Kat was having issues uploading to our Share folder today with the network tinkering, so some content will be delivered via Google Drive. She sent over the intro video for Rhinestone, which I downloaded and ingested. -AL

Maintenance/cleaning: PTG (our new IT service provider) was here to switch our main internet service over to Skywire as they've finished their installation. There were a few issues when Dexter (from PTG) tried disconnecting the Skywire internet. This should cause us to fallback on the Verizon internet, but this is not what happened. This test also caused some issues with the Skywire internet itself, but I'm not exactly sure what. A tech from Skywire came toward the later afternoon but I got wrapped up in the T2 happenings so I'm not sure what happened. -AL

Some more xenon bulbs destroyed. Plenty more to go, but I'll finish up with this by the end of the week. -AL

To do this evening/ was completed: Leon Chase for Hank's Saloon came by to tech his film today. He's super happy with the outcome of his DCP and is really, really excited about the screening.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Buena Vista Social Club is just about sorted for this evening -the hosts did not respond to our request for a good quality video of the Tony Awards performance that we could download, so I found it on YouTube and let them know. I made a DCP, which will likely sound good between 3.5 - 4.5, but we'll have 15min to tech it before we open doors for the show!  Superman playlists built - I swapped out the atmos file that was first ingested and got the regular 7.1 in there! Projection Admin 9/8 Lillian/Will

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. I went through all the pieces of content for the drag performance(s) and confirmed sound/adjusted a few levels for the music, some of which were way too loud. I double checked/techd the lighting cues and wrote the info into the event memo for easy access (not everything seems to be accurate on the sheet, which I will update on Wednesday).
