NPP Projection Close 7/14

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Converted and updated the intro slide (RIP Sam Neill) for Jurassic Park III at Desmond's request

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: World Cup semifinal on at Trees this afternoon

Set up and tested the turntable at Trees for the Pre-Code Parade screening after party; broke down everything once the DJ set ended (Mr. Kline got the memo and was done within an hour)

Ran loops prior to Love Me Tonight. All went well save for the changeover between reels 3 and 4. With my head craned over the machine to see the cues I did not realize that the lamp in projector 1 was off, presumably from the heat in the booth pushing it to its limit, and changed over to reel 4 and a black screen. I stopped the film and quickly tried powering the lamp on and off again, switched it from auto to manual and flipped the power switch a second time to no avail, and finally resorted to throwing the breakers off and back on which got the lamp to strike again. I repositioned the floor fan to face projector 1 and the lamp maintained for the rest of the reel. This delay lasted roughly two minutes. MODs were made aware of the situation. The rest of the film ran smoothly all things considered.

Cleaned both projectors after the show and swapped lenses and plates from 1.37 to 1.85 for Jurassic Park III tomorrow night. Pulled the 1.37 port glass tape down too so some minor adjustments may be needed to refit the glass for 1.85

To do this evening/ was completed: Double confirmed with Chris and folks that the print of Vicious Lips is, in fact, Vampire Lovers. They are in the process of sending Cyborg. I took the Vicious Lips trailer out of the playlists that had them, which we'll replace with Cyborg once it's available.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Higher Learning .  Trailer Updates: ^ as per the above, we'll be getting the Cyborg trailer and updated version of the Forecast_A for 9/12 sometime tonight.  Special Events/ AV set up: We got the PA system with wireless mics setup for the show tonight in T2. To do this evening/ was completed: I will be out tomorrow as I'm still recovering from a bad cold and need another day to rest. I will have notes via email tomorrow. I will also be joining the cinema meeting and will be remoting in from home. I reached out to Rebecca again and cc'd Lauren and Ian who will be here during the early hours tomorrow so that they know I'm out in case they walkie and can contact me via phone/email. If Jack is able to come in a little earlier, I'll let management know. I let management know about the iPad (per Jack's blog) which I'm running the updates on right now and had hoped would be done soon but they're still going so I let them know to use the Spotify app in the meantime if Soundtrack doesn't work, but it should.  The print of It's Alive  went down well (if you don't count the lad that threw up in the theatre and then right outside the door). NPP Projection Report 11/23 Open

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Checked the Home Alone DCP ahead of the private event this morning, no issues. The party was a bit late seating, so the movie start was a little bit delayed. Overall it ran smoothly. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Kat will be making a DCP of Guardians of the Galaxy tomorrow for the private event in T1 on Tuesday morning. Chenelle will get the blu-ray sent over here for us to have as backup. I set up the blu-ray player so it's connected to both the monitor and the projector, in case we end up needing to use the blu-ray. I sent Lillian and McKegg an email about this separately. I checked the scope blu-ray projector channel in Theater 1 and it's good to go should we need to screen the blu-ray. I started the DCP of Death Race 2000 on the T1 Mac.
