NPP Projection Report 10/1 Admin


To do this evening/ was completed: Adjusted the playlist ever so slightly for John Wilson tonight, just to make it smoother. We're all set for this show, just grab two chairs when the time comes. 

FOH meeting went well, cleaned up afterwards. 

Presentation Issues:

Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the playlist for Color of Money and ingested some missing preshow content. 

Trailer Updates:

Special Events/ AV set up: Set up Spoons for tonight. All the equipment will just need to be turned on. Also, when breaking down we only need to switch off the "Moving Spots" breaker since those fixtures make noise when they're on. The "Center" and "Left Spotlight" breakers can stay on.

Also, we can use the switcher to switch between HDMI sources (cable and stage) in Theater 1 and Theater 2. No need to move the cables connected to the receivers on the wall. The switcher is on top of the CP750 in both booths, pictured below:



Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): We received a poster for the private event on 11/4, Being Heumann. This is in the 3/7 booth. 

Ordering/Receiving (content): Received, ingested and took a look at the new DCP for Road Runner (short for NewFest). It's all set. 
Ingested the Devilman DCPs to Theatre 4 and got my eyes on them to make sure sound and subs look good. 

Ingesting NF features to their respective screening rooms for tomorrow. Please keep an eye on these. Thank you

Outgoing/Shipping (content):

Print/video Inspection: Looked at Digger and Your Mother and updated the playlists as needed. FYI-Digger switches back and forth between 1.50 and 1.85 throughout the runtime. Skipping through, it seemed that a fairly even amount of the film is in each ratio, and with how many times it changes I opted to just leave the masking at 1.85 for the full runtime.

^Also, FOH/MOD is aware of this in case patrons ask if anything is off with the presentation. 

Inspected all of Argh! A Music War, which is now on house reels in Theatre 1. It's in decent condition. Definitely got plattered a few times, back in the day. Print report available. 

Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes! Updated today. 

Maintenance/cleaning:

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Checked! 

Marquee updated?: Digger is up on the marquee and the poster has been changed as well. 

Posters updated?: See above.

Cleaning lights on for the night?:

To do this evening/ was completed: Big day for teching. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Kat sent a new QR code clip which I tech'd volume for and added to all the 9/18 and SE playlists we have. The volume (3.8) has been noted on the white board. Projection Admin 9/2

To do this evening/ was completed: Our Network has been updated. Nick from DMS came in to drop off the relay mechanism and take a look at 3/7 before his install visit next week. I showed him in and around the space and he checked in with the WiFi guys. He also liased with Chris whilst scoping out the existing relay system in in 3/7.  It is still somewhat of a wreck in the 46 booth (cables and boxes that, to my knowledge, need to be thrown out, but I asked if they were going to clean up/what needs to be cleared out and I didn't get a proper response in both English and when I asked in Spanish lol so apparently someone might be coming round to finish that up tomorrow. If we don't, we can call Juan and double check. I did tidy things up though, so at least it's not absolute chaos in here.  Once the Network was up and properly running, I tested out theatres 4 and 6 to see if anything needed to be rebooted and lo n behold, only the dimmer panels needed to be rebooted in all the...
