NPP Projection Report 10/24 Open



To do this evening/ was completed:

Presentation Issues: Rebecca radioed me that the captions were too low on screen in T4 (OCAP Klara and the Sun). All the playlists for this had the scope lens/masking change pack before the feature, but the feature is flat, so captions were mostly being cut off. I quickly changed the lens file and adjusted the masking. This was about 3 minutes into the feature. Playlists have been updated.
*Also noting that when Rebecca radioed me I assumed it was a sight line thing and speaking too soon I said I wouldn't be able to adjust, but then I quickly realized what was going on and told her I fixed it.
-Someone also put my initials in as who built this on the trailer list, but it wasn't me.

Also Fjord OCAP playlist for this week only had the lights up cue at the very start of the feature instead of the start of credits. Wyatt radioed me the lights were up for the feature this morning. I brought them down manually and updated the playlist.

Special Events/ AV set up: The final NewFest screenings of the year went well! Everything has been put away in T1, T3 and Trees.

Ordering/Receiving (content): Desmond handed off a 35mm trailer of The Thing to be shown before Scooby Doo 2 I believe. We teched it and it looks good! I made a card with all the details. It's on a house reel.

Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Made the formula for TOLPINY (The Only Living Pickpocket in New York) and filled in the early Thursday shows.

The party was a bit late seating, so the movie start was a little bit delayed. Overall it ran smoothly. To do this evening/ was completed: Big day for teching. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Kat sent a new QR code clip which I tech'd volume for and added to all the 9/18 and SE playlists we have. The volume (3.8) has been noted on the white board. Projection Admin 9/2

To do this evening/ was completed: Our Network has been updated. Nick from DMS came in to drop off the relay mechanism and take a look at 3/7 before his install visit next week. I showed him in and around the space and he checked in with the WiFi guys. He also liased with Chris whilst scoping out the existing relay system in in 3/7.  It is still somewhat of a wreck in the 46 booth (cables and boxes that, to my knowledge, need to be thrown out, but I asked if they were going to clean up/what needs to be cleared out and I didn't get a proper response in both English and when I asked in Spanish lol so apparently someone might be coming round to finish that up tomorrow. If we don't, we can call Juan and double check. I did tidy things up though, so at least it's not absolute chaos in here.  Once the Network was up and properly running, I tested out theatres 4 and 6 to see if anything needed to be rebooted and lo n behold, only the dimmer panels needed to be rebooted in all the...
