Presentation Issues: TMS in 4/6 froze at 5:29 and remained frozen throughout the night. This didn't affect playback, but I loaded every show manually to be safe. It was fine in the other booths. I tried refreshing everything, with no luck. Finally, I simply logged out of TMS in 4/6, which fixed the problem. *** I think the computer froze because I was trying to unzip PS_NPP_Generic_v3_40min, but kept getting an error message. Presentation Issues: 35mm projector 2 in theater 1 lamp issues again during the screening of Magnolia. The lamp shut itself off twice within the first ten minutes (more on this below) so Michael and I switched to the backup on his laptop. This caused further issues as the audio sync on this file wasn't great. We had a DCP ingesting when the show started, so when it finished I tried to switch to that as seamlessly as I could so we could at least have in-sync audio, but when I loaded the DCP to cue it up the macro on the Christie switched automatically, so there was a black screen/silence for ~30 seconds before I got the laptop backup back on screen. This led customers to think the file had skipped ahead a few scenes, even though the laptop backup had just continued running normally while this happened, it just wasn't on screen. Presentation Issues: The first round of DEAD DON'T DIE (just the feature, not preshow) in theater 2 started completely out of focus (it also seemed to be spilling wide on to the side masking as if it were running in scope). I'm assuming this is due to the 1.78 macro setting somehow. I re-set the image file to Flat and it fixed the focus issue, though the image is still spilling on to the sides of the screen a little bit (just by a few inches). Unfortunately we might have to roll with it like this for a bit (I'm not sure if we even have control over the side masking to get it to where it seems to need to be).      Does anybody know why this would have happened? Also the first round in theater 2 did not auto-start on time because I forgot to switch back to 'scheduled' after teching Rafiki. My mistake. I was able to cue Booksmart so that it ended on time. While the sound was definitely not as it should be, dialogue/score/sound effects were still coming through clearly and it only drew one complaint so I waited until after the show to restart the Dolby processor. Presentation Issues: After getting the ICP connection error on the Christie in 1 I rebooted the server during the flip. When it started back up there was a second error which was a failure of the marriage between the server and projector. I called Billy from DMS and he walked me through doing a hard reboot of the Christie which made both the ICP and the marriage failure errors go away. This all went down right when 7's were starting, so I forgot to start preshow in 6 (which was a manual start), and ended up getting it on screen about 20 minutes late when Sarah walkied that it hadn't started yet. Presentation Issues: A customer requested a closed captioning device for Theater 2, but it wouldn't connect when the feature started. I brought the device into the booth, where it connected and was displaying the captions when I brought it back to the customer. He was sitting in the back row which helped. I remember this has caused problems in the past but it slipped my mind until the problem arose so I didn't mention it to the customer before they sat; is it possible to improve the connectivity from the theater to the booth?
