To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: During the  Ricochet  screening this evening in theater 4, the leader at the top of reel 4 snapped from there being too much slack around the rollers beneath the film failsafe (by the take-up reel on projector 1). I had thread perfectly and double checked the film to be sure, but didn't think the slack would snap from the jolt of the take-up reel pulling down on it. Approximately a foot of film fell to the ground before I noticed the break in the leader (between the numbers 9 and 10 on the countdown) and I closed the dowser and brought the lights up immediately upon realizing the damage. After rethreading the film onto a separate take-up reel I started the projector motor and brought the house lights down. The reel played smoothly after this fix. Then, during the changeover from reel 5 to reel 6 (which was also thread on projector 1), the leader broke around the failsafe in the same exact spot, and then again between the ...

To do this evening/ was completed: Attempted to download and ingest Forecast 0603B but it's missing one of its conversion files so the ingest failed. The same goes for the CotF preshow content. So neither of those elements have been ingested yet. All playlists have been updated for 6/03, they're just missing the Forecast B element.  Reached out to Deluxe about CotF DCP, received tracking for it and we should have it by EOD tomorrow. Asset spreadsheet updated. Swept and mopped all projection booths, cleaned 35mm lenses that are in T6 and T1 projectors, log has been updated. Presentation Issues: Renee Michele notified me that she felt the very end of the Top Gun preshow and the Tom Cruise intro at the beginning of the feature were too loud for the audience. Despite the mixer being in use for the intro in Theater 4, we can still connect a microphone to the processor, we just have to enable Phantom Power on the Dolby CP750 Setup app on the Theater 6 Booth PC. It is quieter than if the mixer is used, but this is the only option since the intro in 4 is happening at about the same time. I made a cue to set the volume to 10 and added that to the private event playlist for their intro. It sounds fine, just not as robust as if we were to use the mixer. I let Chenelle know that I had to connect the mic this way and it would be quieter than normal. Mic was still set up in Theater 4 from last night. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: During the pre-show before the  Born to Win  screening in theater 4 I tested the changeovers and noticed the changeover gate on projector 1 was not raising up whenever I pressed the button to trigger it to switch. Alec was present to watch the film and came up to the booth to look over everything with me. He saw that the audio was switching from projector to projector despite the gate being locked in the down position so I rebooted everything and tried the buttons again but the gate on 1 still would not raise up. Since this playlist has no trailers nor any in house trailers/PSAs we can’t use it for public screenings and it’s also 10 minutes too short.
