I was in early so it wasn't much of an issue, but it helps to have this sorted beforehand. Also, special screener of The Drama for Jared and Lauren went just fine, too. I refreshed the IMS page and got the 404 error pretty much simultaneously with the call from MOD that the volume hadn't changed for the trailers. I killed the lamp right away, power cycled, then just started the movie once everything was back on. This delayed the movie 6 minutes in total, causing a manual start for the next round. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: At the start of the feature during the second round in theater 1 ( Project Hail Mary at 5:45PM) the masking began covering the screen instead of opening to its 2:1 setting. MODs called and I manually triggered the 2:1 cue, fortunately only a minute or so had passed, and the curtains moved to the correct position. I double checked the playlists and there were no missing or incorrect cues. It looked like the curtains had moved in over the image too, not even staying at 1.85 like during the pre show, but had changed to a narrower setting. To do this evening/ was completed: This morning I changed the lamp in T6 since it was time. Cleaned the lamp house whilst it was vacant. New lamp is nice and bright, no issues. Swapped the power sources and ran many image tests in T4 for analog as per my discussion with Alec yesterday after going over the issues with Projector 2. I sent the rundown to Roger, Alec and Matthew. While everything is, at the moment, visually stable, there is still a bit of a mystery issue with Projector 2 that we need to weed out. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Ran into the same issue today that Alec experienced yesterday morning during The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance as the power source to projector 2 in theater four was acting up. Halfway through the first reel of the print the bulb began to flicker violently, raising and lowering the brightness of the picture on screen quite quickly, causing a stir in the crowd as it was more noticeable than usual. Fortunately Alec was watching the film and graciously came up to the booth to assess the problem as I switched to the second reel. He tried disconnecting  and reconnecting a few things from the machine but nothing alleviated the issue of the lack of consistent amperage/voltage powering the bulb. Ultimately we ran the print off the functional projector after asking Wyatt to make an announcement to the guests and the show ran smoothly albeit with minor interruptions between each reel.  Preshow Clips/Playlist: The Headless Woman ...

Bit of a long one but everything was pretty smooth today! To do this evening/ was completed: End credits time for Labyrinth was an entire hour off on the cue sheet. I fixed it for tomorrow, but come on, guys... isn't this why we check them the night before? FYI - I took the damper out of the exhaust duct for P2 in T4, so it can't be closed at the moment. There's a piece that's loose on it which makes it close partially when exposed to airflow from above, which is what I thought had been the cause of the occasional problem where the lamp brightness dips (more on that below). To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: I accidentally hit the wrong button on the LMS while trying to take projector 1 off its scheduled mode, which in turn caused the server to appear "offline" on Screenwriter. I loaded the  Girls About Town pre-show and tech'd it to be sure it would run without any issue, and it did, but thought it would be best to reboot the projector to avoid risking any malfunctions during the show and get the system back "online" on the LMS. Following this reboot, a warning on the touch panel stating the PIB board had lost connection was visible so I tried rebooting the machine a second time. This failed and the warning was the same as before so I reached out to Alec to help with troubleshooting the problem. He walked me through reseating the PIB board and rebooting the projector, which ultimately failed, and offered to come back to attempt it himself. Again I tried reseating the board but whatever I was doing was ineffect...

To do this evening/ was completed: A warning came up on the T2 projector this morning for the cooling pump, saying it is dead. I reached out to Jerry and he said that as long as the projector is operational (which it is, I checked) that it's just the sensor that is dead and not the pump itself. The only way to replace the sensor is to replace the whole pump, though. He'll quote us for a replacement. I also turned the AC in booth 2 back on with this warm weather we're having. The backup option for Cable in Trees is set and working. Rather than explain at length how it works here, see the projection manual section I added on it. Please read it through next chance you get.
