To do this evening/ was completed: Video Diary of a Lost Girl screening with intro & Q&A. 3 mics and the mixer are set up in Theater 3, with one mic stand for the intro if needed. Spotlight remote is in the plastic case behind the curtain on the right side of the screen. During the Q&A, projection will be cued to play a trailer for the director’s new film which is included in the playlist. Have the laptop ready with Splashtop open in the back of the theater while recording the Q&A and press play on the server when cued, lights will go down and sound will switch over (and volume will lower) and the trailer will play, then going back to preshow lights, Q&A slide, mic input & volume with a cue to pause the slide after. I noticed that mics and XLR cables were left in the mixer bin after the last use. Though these things are frequently used together let’s still separate them into their own bins since sometimes they are needed as extras for 1 & 2 and in Trees Lou

Private event in Theater 2 tonight, playlist is good to go. They’ll just need 3 mics and spots for the intro and Q&A. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built/scheduled a playlist for the private event in Theater 2 tonight. To do this evening/ was completed: Ran house checks in all auditoriums; thankfully there were no serious outstanding issues from last night's false alarm incident and everything is back in working order again Presentation Issues: AC blower interlock alarm in theater 1; was able to get the lights in 3/7 working properly with Alec's help and ran a few cues to test the dimmer connectivity (they were stuck in their emergency setting overnight due to the fire alarm being tripped -- the same issue occurred in theater 5 at the start of the first round but was fixed as the film began) Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested additional pre-show content for Perfect ; started building playlists for the upcoming week's programming (forecast content will need to be update tomorrow once Kat upload it to the drive and we are still waiting on Everything Everywhere All At Once  feature content from Eclair -- not sure if a slide can be made/is needed specifically for the Perfect intr

To do this evening/ was completed: Removed Inspector Ike from TMS. Downloaded Splashtop to MOD laptop and set it up for the Oscars   in T1.  Presentation Issues: Fire alarm tripped around 11:20. All auditorium houselights came on. Will and I reset all of the lighting panels and rewound all content by about 5-10 minutes. We were unable to turn off the aisle lights in T3, even after switching that particular breaker off. All other auditoriums were good to go. Pushed back shutdown times to accommodate fo the delay.   Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Oscars went smoothly overall. Will was around all evening and was a big help. Trees Lounge presented no issues but the fire alarm tripped towards the end of the ceremony and there was bit of confusion as everyone started to evacuate the theater. We got the show back on track as soon as we could. All equipment has been returned to 4/6 and MOD office. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiv

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: AC Blower interlock alarm in theater 1; ran a Dolby Channel ID test and a House Check in theater 1 to hear the status of the speakers and found no issues -- all speaker channels are aligned correctly so hopefully there will be no glitching as the rounds progress this afternoon Preshow Clips/Playlist: Deleted Labyrinth from the TMS and The Lost City from theater 1 IMS after the first round of shows Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up:  Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Marquee updated?: Posters updated?: Cleaning lights on for the night?: Projectors off for the night?: Projection cart by TH5?: Nest: Additional Notes: Used a thin metal rod found in booth 2 to secure the roof hatch as the padlock has gone missing from it

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Since the CP750 processor in Theater 1 has had the glitch where it sends sound through the wrong channels a few times now, we should run the Dolby Channel ID test (it's a CPL available on every server) in this house everyday before opening. When you play it a voice reads out each speaker through the separate channels, if the names of each speaker are not coming from the correct place (e.g. Left, Center, or Right are coming from the surround speakers) that means it's glitching and you should reboot the processor and run the test again to make sure it's working. I will write to DMS about this as well so it can be addressed. Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: I bookmarked the live stream on ABC's website on the projection laptop for the Red Carpet in Trees Lounge tomorrow. It's logged in through my Optimum account so there should be no access issues. Everything is still set-up in T

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: A guest complained about the right side surround speakers "not working" during Jujutsu Kaisen 0 in the last round of shows; I listened to the film from both sides of the auditorium, close to the back, to try to identify any static/crackling/silence but heard nothing out of the ordinary -- I checked the processors in booth 1, these were in working order, then checked the Dolby app from the booth 6 computer and connected to theater 1's CP750 remotely to see if the speakers hadn't switched out of their 7.1 surround setting (they were not) and told the servers in 1 to reassure the guest that the speakers were checked and working correctly Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): We received a DVD copy of Country Crush for the private event in theater 3 on 4/2; I was unable to check volume levels for it since it arriv

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Downloaded and ingested the Everything Everywhere All At Once preshow. Waiting on Morbius preshow to build the playlist. Trailer Updates: Ingested a new trailer for Sonic 2 and added it to the PG-13 trailer pack. It is technically an Atmos DCP, so the playlists with this pack show up with a purple "A" icon on the TMS schedule, indicating the playlist contains Atmos content. We of course do not have the capability to play Atmos soundtracks, but this doesn’t mean we can’t play DCPs which have that extra information. I watched the trailer in a theater and it sounded perfectly fine, it just plays as a normal 5.1. Special Events/ AV set up: Set up the spotlight control board and two mics for the Oscars party in Theater 1 Sunday night. Went over everything with Desmond and the two hosts Shay and Allie, they were happy with everything and know what to do for changing lights and sound (mics will stay on

Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built Jujutsu Kaisen (subbed and dubbed) and Labyrinth (both with intro slide and without) playlists and scheduled them. The credit offset timecode for Jujutsu Kaisen is the same for both versions, but the subtitled version is 7 minutes longer than the dubbed, so the dubbed has 10 minutes of credits and the subtitled has 17. I assume the extra 7 minutes is just more credits but we should check it tomorrow when the keys open to see what’s up. To do this evening/ was completed: Continue scheduling for next week and adding credit times to the cue sheets, though there was a pretty big disparity between the actual runtime and the runtime in FilmBot for The Lost City , causing most shows to overlap by about 16 minutes as currently scheduled. To do this evening/ was completed: Careful print wound back onto shipping reels and placed on the projection cart, which is resting near the side entrance.  Presentation Issues: When I hit the changeover from reel two to three, the movie seemed to jump ahead slightly. I pulled up the film online and it seems to me that there may have been roughly 20-25 seconds that was missing from the end of reel 2. To do this evening/ was completed: Build and scheduled Chopping Mall , Farewell Amor , and The Manchurian Candidate playlists. Aim to have 5 minutes of trailers for Chopping and Manchurian , Farewell has an intro so no trailers for that one. The slide is on the server. Go through the event calendar and add any titles missing from the asset doc. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Noticed the new playlist for the Animated Oscar Shorts hadn't been loaded to the Theater 1 and 2 servers since all shows in these houses are manual starts. Feature content was already on the servers since it's been playing in both theaters so I just needed to schedule the SPL so it would load. Just a reminder to please schedule playlists for anything that only has manual start shows when building the schedule so the playlist and any new content will load onto the server. Once the playlist is valid you can delete the schedule. Downloaded and ingested generic Strip Club and Showgirls preshow

To do this evening/ was completed: Twice attempted to locally ingest  Chopping Mall to T1, but the ingest failed due to "copied file hash does not match remote filed hash" and "retrieve asset failed"--did not have time to attempt an ingest through TMS. Ingested new keys for Spiderman. Downloaded and ingested the Sundays on Fire preshow. Presentation Issues: During Round 1 in T1 I got a call alerting me that the preshow was playing with no image on screen. I went to check on things and I saw that the projector had an AC interlock error occur. I had thought this issue had been resolved, so did not think to check when I got in, as I went straight to T4 to prep for the 35mm screening. I ejected the playlist, brought the house lights up and restarted the projector. I got the playlist back on screen a few minutes before the trailers were scheduled to begin. Cool As Ice 35mm screening: At the beginning of reel 4, the take-up belt on P4 (projector next to sound rack) slippe

Trailer Updates: Swapped the X trailer for Fantastic Beasts in a new R trailer pack for Thursday 3/17, made new playlists with this pack for relevant titles and scheduled them for 3/17. Special Events/ AV set up: House Party 35mm screening and intro went great, left the mixer (turned off) with two mics and two stands under the curtain in Theater 4 for the intro tomorrow night. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received a new Trail Mix drive. Ordering/Receiving (content): Received a new drive for Licorice Pizza , feature content on it was the same as already on the servers so I packed it up for return. To do this evening/ was completed: Ingested  Death on the Nile ,  Happening  (2021), and  Licorice Pizza keys; ingested  Licorice Pizza  for its rerelease Presentation Issues: Completed house checks and noticed a slight flickering on screen in theater 2; the bulb is healthy and hasn't logged too many hours but the flicker was plain to see ( The Batman is in this room for the foreseeable future so it shouldn't be too much of an issue since the film is already dark but it's something to keep our eyes on if it does start to hinder the presentation) Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built playlists for the upcoming week and a pre-show for tomorrow night's private event in theater 6 Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Event memo for 3/8 was updated with relevant information (runtime/credits) Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content):  Outgoing/Shipping (content): Foxfire print was picked up this afternoon Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking d
