Receivers/mixer still behind T2 curtain. One note about connecting mics to the PA speakers: obviously you can't hear anything being said from the booth, so I had to rely somewhat on Desmond to cue me to start some segments. Smooth enough overall but worth noting in terms of future shows' seamlessness. Noticed when looking through the TMS scheduler that there's a blue exclamation mark attached to the Emilia Perez T6 screenings over the weekend claiming "SPL missing on TMS". I went to check multiplex content and the feature is on the T6 server so not sure what that's about, maybe a different piece of content is missing, but content transfer would've been initiated automatically at this point, and nothing is currently being ingested to T6. To do this evening/ was completed: Important information concerning the private event in T7 tomorrow for The Orphan: I went to go test this out in T7 today and whilst image and sound are operating as per normal with the hdmi connection and rca, I saw that Prime Video would be removing the film in four days, plus the AD feature was removed, which is the only reason we decided to use the Prime Video app in the first place because it is, or was , the only way to get this movie with AD. I spent awhile on the phone with customer service for this, then pulled up my Paramount and Apple TV accounts to see if they would have the AD feature for this movie. None of them did, but I contacted their tech support anyway. I finally got a hold of someone on the Amazon team who confirmed my suspicion by saying that they did, in fact, just remove the AD option because they're removing the film soon...incredibly annoying that they just decided to do this. Welcome Home Brother Charles TMS   ingest failed about ninety minutes in. There was stuff downloading to the preshow drive when I noticed this so I'm assuming the drive was simply disconnected from the TMS too soon. I reattempted the ingest, which was immediately successful. Transferred the feature content to T2 and took a look at it on screen toward the end of the night, seems good, but I'd recommend another look during admin tech tomorrow just to make sure the two-part ingest had no effect. 4.0 volume seemed good too. Built a playlist for Shouting at the Screen that will need to be updated with the necessary transitional cues. Uploaded keys for 5000 Fingers of Dr T. I put in 4 different options for us to chose from. Again, I really appreciate y'all for helping us keep a tight ship.  Went over the lights in T2 with Vlad, Juan, and another gentleman who I cannot remember the name of (sorry). We ran a few tests. I double checked all light settings, independently, as well as some playlists in both T2 and T1 just to be sure. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: During the trailers for the last round in theater 2, as I was setting up the projectors in booth 1 downstairs for the show there, I accidentally flipped a switch labeled "Th 2 Ramp Emergency Lights" on the booth 1 breaker panel -- this is just beneath the switch I meant to hit to power on the 35mm projectors -- causing three emergency lights at the back of theater 2 and another just outside the guest entrance in the hallway to turn on. These remained on for the duration of the film, much to my embarrassment and, despite every attempt to turn them off, I was unable to before the print in theater 1 needed to be started. I communicated with Lillian over the phone, who was in touch with Matthew, in addition to the MODs on site. I took a good look at most of our servers to make sure everything's functioning properly, including our most used screening rooms from the festival. I have yet to hear back from DMS, but I'm keeping this here so that the details are logged and not just in our emails, should we ever lose access.   * Theatre 3 randomly going offline. No projector issue, just the server, the IMS is unresponsive and we see the blank error page. We haven't had any issues with the T3 server going offline in the past two to three days. I haven't had any issues today.  *Playback/Playlist issues: this happened with the playlist for the feature Piece by Piece , in which in theatres 5, 6, 7 and 2 had, somehow, built itself an inaccurate playlist with missing and incorrect kind of and amount of preshow, plus no trailer pack, b...

T6 went down in between rounds two and three. I restarted the IMS and played the feature content a bit, then loaded the playlist and got things going. There was minimal delay and Joker played fine. Double-checked the cue sheets with the sales page for tomorrow and Tuesday. Everything looks right but I'll still encourage the daily check. **No tech scheduled for Devil's Backbone tomorrow. Print has yet to be put on screen for volume. Also: all reels have new grease cues (motor and CO) that I added, as the original cues I found on the print seemed to be very small and mostly out of frame. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: The picture in theater 2 is noticeably dim (maybe not to the average guest, as we have yet to receive any complaints about it, but to the trained eye the image looks significantly less vibrant than usual -- the first round was an open captions screening and the text looked almost blue/gray) *** I received a call around 1PM that the lights in theater 7 had gone up and very quickly realized this occurred because the feature had been skipped over following the pre-show/trailers. I tried rebooting the IMS, re-uploading the keys for the film, and playing the feature CPL separate from its show playlist but nothing worked. It was definitely a bit of a magic trick with some overlapping intros/Q&As but having my personal ROS helped so much. I came in this morning to set up the external speakers, mixer, and wired mics, which are all working beautifully. Got all 8 chairs out so that we could run through the spots, which I'll be personalizing tomorrow along with a few other changes (masking cues for the episodes). We got some last minute slides on the spot, so I ingested those whilst everyone was there. Hosts/reps watched the episodes all the way through. Recorded the Q&A via webcam, yet to be transferred off the rack PC should anyone ending up wanting it. There was one presentation issue which I'll detail below. Continued building next week's cue sheets. Got to Tuesday, so the rest can get hammered out over the next day or two. I would recommend cross-referencing the cue sheets and TMS schedule with the Nitehawk Sales page just to be certain everything is correct. Another note: 10/22 Babies playlist yet to be scheduled. We're looking good on content right now.  Presentation Issues: Not a presentation issue, but I came in this morning to find that T3 was offline (it did not display this on the TMS - only when I went to go pull up the individual IMS was I not able to log in) and each scheduled playlist had an "spl missing" warning on the schedule. I rebooted the TMS, then rebooted the projector and was able to log back into the IMS. Nothing was missing, I went through each playlist to check content and all automation cues - mind you, the only reason I first saw that T3 was offline was I was adding the lens preset/various cues we needed in T5 for Joker and saw that the DCP 220 Scope cue was missing from T3, which I found suspicious since that's one of the first theatres we outfitted with the preset. Anyway, despite the TMS still showing "spl missing" on the playlists, everything has been automating just fine. This feel...

Tech'd both of tonight's NewFest playlists by myself and with Desmond and NewFest reps. Content is all good. Spotlights all good, mics all set. 4 wireless and 1 wired in T1. 1 wired in T3. For T1 spotlights, 302 for intro and 502 for Q&A. Be sure to turn off the spotlight breaker on the T1 breaker board once the shorts begin, as the spotlights inside the theater make a considerable amount of noise when left on. I tested Spotify in T1, all good there. I'm sure the same is true for T3 but didn't test it today (we used the connection last night). House Lights MID cue added to T1 Q&A. **The NewVoices playlist needed a particular 1.78 lens/mask cue repositioned, so I put it right after Girl Blunt, instead of after the Cai slide, which is where it was during tech, causing the slide's image to be cropp...

To do this evening/ was completed: Both NewFest intros and screenings went smoothly. Mics returned to their resting places. We received the print of The Devil's Backbone. It's residing in the T1 booth. Presentation Issues: Last round in T1, Speak No Evil, had to be canceled. I was informed by MOD that the cleaning lights had come up in T1 and that there was no film on screen, after the preshow and trailers concluded. I was kind of bewildered initially but quickly discerned the feature was not on the T1 server, which was rather perplexing because I checked the multiplex content Sunday night and saw that the playlist was loaded on that server, and I was able to load it tonight, as it was a manual start, which is ultimately the the reason for this incident. For a while I was pretty confused about the existence of the playlist on the server, having been under the impression that it could only be there once automated content transfer was initiated by the TMS, but I am now distantly ...

I updated the playlists. Tuesday - Desmond will want to go over the playlists for tomorrow, too. And we'll need to make sure the NewFest loops for the TVs are on for the after party!  Spotify is open on both the 3/7 comp and T1 iMac computer. We're using Desmond's account in T1 and our projection account in 3/7.
