To do this evening/ was completed: Attached photos of the ADA sled seats closest to the exit. I know Juan worked on these not that long ago since the wood underneath was starting to come up. My assumption is that he didn't realize they need to come out. I haven't had to take these out in a while but, yes, they should mostly pop out once you take the back screws off. We've taken them out just fine in the past. I took a look tonight though, and they're bolted in. I left the screws in the booth along with the driver. We should definitely develop a better mount situation for these. To do this evening/ was completed: Chinatown print went very smoothly. Ready for round two tomorrow. Ingested Ovid feature and preshow, transferred to T3. Got a call to remove all of the ADA seats in the last row of T2. Attempted to do so but the block of seats is held down by dozens of screws, many of which are inaccessible. If most of those screws can be permanently removed, and some of the metal bands that hold down the block can be removed as well then the unit can become ADA-viable. As it stands, it is near-impossible to remove those seats. MOD decided to just remove the seat on the end and ask guests to switch seats with each other. To do this evening/ was completed: Gregg and I got in at 9am to try and resolve the issues we've been having in Theatre 2. Just as before, this took the entire day. Gregg will be sending a follow up email to Alec, Matthew and I, but for now I'll write a little here. Gregg was able to physically move the projector into a spot that has gotten rid of pretty much all of the keystoning, which then made it easier to tackle Scope and Flat presets. It took a long time since we realized adjust Flat first would have been better before getting Scope right, so we did a lot of adjusting and a lot of moving. Since the lens mount shouldn't have been removed the other day, these adjustments are harder to do since you're really starting from scratch, and the shift doesn't have much give. As such, the entire light path is affected. To make a long story short, we got Scope and Flat set with test patterns and content, and I made a few more adjustments to get the cropping, shift, and ma...

Cleaned T2 a bit after the last screening and per Lillian's suggestion went to cover the projector with one of the large cloths in 4/6, but the exhaust started to make an ascending whining sound both times I tried to cover it up, so ultimately decided to leave it be. Also removed the 35mm scope lenses in the T2 projectors as I noticed they're covered in dust. Those are in 4/6 now. Bad Seed letters down, Fire Walk With Me up. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: The scope lens file in theater 2 was slightly off center and out of focus during the trailers before the feature in the second round. I was in communication with Alec about its settings and how much image would bleed over the curtains with the lens set to scope during the pre-show (it should be noted that the pre-show did not play in the scope file as Alec programmed, but instead started in the "FHD" setting). I chose to stay in the auditorium and switch between the flat and scope files as the show progressed, ultimately switching to scope once the trailers began (some of the pre-show content was cut off when played in scope, hence my reservation about letting too much of it pass without having it play in its normal flat format).  Conclave  played, a dark and shadowy film, which looks much better overall given the improved brightness of the lamp, despite the focus being a tad soft. To do this evening/ was completed: DMS delivered a loaner projector for Theater 2 today. It's the same model Christie we had. The drivers (plus John and Juan) helped us get it up to the booth then Bob installed it with the help of Chris over the phone. This took just about all day and unfortunately our first show got off to a rocky start when the ILS file for the scope channel had reverted all values to 0 when we switched over to it for the feature (in layman's terms the picture was zoomed in way too far, completely out of focus, and half on the screen and half on the ceiling). We paused the movie and Bob eventually put up a test pattern (after letting Jared know we would need to do this) to fix the ILS file. The audience all stayed and we got the movie on a few minutes later.
