To do this evening/ was completed: Tech'd Dune Part 2, volume is good at 5.0, credits lights up added to playlists. Reached out to David Jennings for Sony courier pickup for The Last Dragon. Someone will be by tomorrow. Inspected all of Righting Wrongs. It's in great condition, almost no wear. Inspection report is filled out. I need to double check reel three to see if there was one more splice than I noted, but if someone wants to pass the report along to Cristina tomorrow they can. Private Benjamin still transcoding in T1. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Wireless mics in theater 2 were still configured for the Shouting at the Screen event earlier this month and had to be adjusted for the introduction to The Zone of Interest (there was also an improperly placed house lights down cue in this SPL which caused the auditorium to go dark during the pre-show -- I noticed this before the MODs alerted me to it and brought the lights up from the booth) Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Aside from the aforementioned trouble in theater 2, the private screening for The Zone of Interest  went well, as did the Opening Nite screening for the NSF (the intro and Q&A for this event was recorded and saved to the desktop in booth 1 -- all mics were returned to the booths to charge)  Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Re-inspected  The Last Dragon  and placed it back on its

To do this evening/ was completed: Posting a little early since there's lots going on today.  Hi everyone! Staff screenings are out and blocked on the calendar. I put Dune II in T2 on Friday so we can keep T1 clear for tech. With that in mind though, I'll make sure to get eyes on West Side Story Friday morn before the screening (keys open up then).  We had our cinema meeting today, which went very well. We're all set on content. I've sent out our weekly email to help us get refreshed for the week ahead, along with some other future happenings. Please read it carefully and jot down anything that's necessary for you to keep on your personal radar.  School screening went just fine today. The keys for Dune II open up tomorrow. Please get your eyes on it and confirm that the cue sheets are correct! Thank you! I will not be here tomorrow morning for my usual admin shift as I covered Joe on Sunday at WB and need to avoid overtime.  Alec, Matthew, Joe (and McKegg!) and

To do this evening/ was completed: A super quiet night with an easy presentation of what looks like my last print at Prospect for a while! Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: The Last Dragon went well! I had to ride the focus a few times throughout, but it otherwise went great. The reels are rewound and ready to be reinspected.  Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Zone of Interest keys uploaded  I brought in a Blu-Ray of Jaws for the Film Feast screening next week. It's in the 4/6 booth.  Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Cross referenced with tomorrow's automation and set Marquee updated?: Posters updated?: Cleaning lights on for the night?: Yes Projection cart by entrance?: Additional Notes:

To do this evening/ was completed: Finished the cue sheets for the coming week.  DCP'd March holding slides, Freddy's Dead, West Side Story, Legend, yet to be ingested. Tech'd Freddy's Dead and The Last Dragon. Reel five of Freddy looked okay with the 3D glasses, left a pair in the booth. Loops ran, T1 projectors ready for tonight. Illyse from Roxy came by to pick up Space Jam, and gave me Lillian's Pillow Book print, which is back in 4/6. West Side Story keys uploaded. Kung Fu Panda 4 ingested to TMS. New Wild Parrots DCP transcoding in T1 failed due to an error stating the software could not read the subtitles included, unrecognized root node.     *If keystoning was the only issue with the DCP we downloaded, probably better to adjust the 1.33 projector channel than trying to make a new DCP. -AL Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: We received two new mic stands, they're in the bag in the Trees closet. To do this evening/ was completed: Screen capped the PDF Cristina sent along for Pumping Iron slide, slide made and ingested. DCPoMatic force quit itself every time I selected the alternative Private Benjamin file. I made a slide after the many force quits and had no issue. Opened the file in VLC and it played fine. Not sure what's up with that. Restarted the desktop and it still does the same force quit. Scheduled the week in the TMS and started the cue sheets. Presentation Issues: T3 went offline at the beginning of round two. Right before we got the call I noticed that the KDM for One Love had apparently expired for that server only. Then we were notified there was no sound in T3 and cleaning lights were still up. T3 quick controls failed, TMS playback tab displayed error messages for projector communication failure and degraded storage. Power-cycled the CP750 but that didn't do anything. Went to restart the IMS and found that I could not access that IP address at all, 404 n

To do this evening/ was completed: Took a look at Wild Parrots and Private Benjamin. Wild Parrots is slightly keystoning - this was a file we received, not an in house DCP. It's 1.37 in a flat container (the frame is 1.37, but comes out at 1.85 ratio)  I adjusted this a little in DCP-o-matic. It's transcoding in T1. Private Benjamin can get dcp'd (the first file. I downloaded it again to the desktop). We'll have this as backup and show it to Desmond this week.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built the private event playlists ( Bob Marley run of show is confirmed. Waiting on the folks for Zone of Interest to see if there's an intro.) Saw that Zone of Interest was initially built as an A1, but it's not, it's just for this private event on Wednesday.  Deleted a bunch of playlists we no longer need.  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Howard the Duck all set for tonight. We'll be streaming Jaws on 3/5 in T3. John sent out an invite f

To do this evening/ was completed: Quiet evening! Everything's running well. I'm leaving about 20 minutes early tonight to get some rest before covering Joe tomorrow. MOD is aware.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Went through the new playlists to double check everything I made the other day looks good, especially NH Shorts.  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: DCP of Private Benjamin is still transcoding and likely won't finish up until tomorrow eve.  Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Friendly reminder that the keys for Howard the Duck should be coming in at some point tomorrow! Please ingested these and I'll take a look first thing Monday.  Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Checked the lamp life info on each projector. 1, 3, 5 and 6 are at half their life span.  Brushed up/started on some personal studies.  Cue sheets updated/che

To do this evening/ was completed: Tech'd all of the NSF24 playlists with Cristina, John and Kat this morning. To do this evening/ was completed: Hey team! Weekly email is out. Please take the time to read through the information and reach out with any questions/concerns you have for the event(s) you'll be working. We're kicking off NSF24 at the tail end of this upcoming week.  Thanks for reading!  Staff Screenings are out and have been scheduled on the TMS and are labeled on the theatre blocking calendar.  Keys for both Spaceman and Drive Away Dolls open up tomorrow, so we'll run through them in the morning.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Hawks w/Babies playlist for Drive Away Dolls has been built and scheduled for this upcoming Tuesday!  I built the (brief) playlists for 2/16 Spaceman and the 2/23 ones as well. These have been scheduled on the TMS and filled out on the cue sheets.  Downloaded and ingested the NSF24_Mubi trailer. To do this evening/ was completed: A lot of the usual Tuesday things rolling in late, but thankfully without a print to run or look at, I could still get it all done.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: The Killers of the Flower Moon event started about 15 minutes late due to the hosts putting the event in at Williamsburg on some of the invites, but it ran smoothly from there. Trivia also started a bit late, but once it did we were all set. Everything is broken down and put away. Ran a reel of Space Jam for Desmond, volume logged. Also ran the first reel of Private Benjamin. Print is very faded, some sections more so than others. Desmond said programming might look into finding a DCP for the screening. Standby. Spaceman feature ingested to TMS. Scheduled a pickup for Buckaroo Bonzai tomorrow 2/21, print is on the cart. New password is also right by the comp on a white card.  Seat removed in T6, put back safe n sound.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked the new playlists for this upcoming week.  Built the playlists for Coffy, Buckaroo Banzai  and Raiders of the Lost Ark . To do this evening/ was completed: Forecasts and Kids PSA downloaded and ingested. All A1 2/16 playlists built. Remaining 2/9 content removed from servers. T1 and 4/6 swept and mopped. Raiders of the Lost Ark and Coffy locally ingested to their theaters. Car Wash screening went very smoothly, after I was able to successfully strike the P2 lamp. If would not strike initially but Alec told me what to do (reposition the negative end connector so it's not touching its housing). Maybe we can put a picture of this part of the projector in the manual.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Maintenance/cleaning: Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Yes Marquee updated?: Posters updated?: Cleaning lights on for the night?: Projection cart by entrance?: Additional Notes:

To do this evening/ was completed: Really happy to hear (per Chenelle's email) that the NewFestxHBO event went so well yesterday! - L Closed captioning device in T6.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd and adjusted the playlists for Time Bandits, Paris Texas, You've Got Mail .  Madame Web ( n Bob Marley) features are in. Keys for Madame Web will be out come Monday, I believe.  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Superbowl is ready to go in Theater 3 and in Trees. For theater 3, choose BluRay HD 178 on the projector and set the masking to 1.78. Sound will go through the Non-sync input. For Trees it's the usual: Digital Link on the projector. Both have been tested and are working. If they want sound on in Trees (which I imagine they won't), there's the cable behind the pew below the screen you can connect to the DJ inputs for that.  Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Ingested One Love to the TMS

To do this evening/ was completed: Reviewed the weekly update and took note of upcoming special events and Super Bowl playback this weekend (Shouting at the Screen coincides with a Q&A next Thursday...might need to ask the opener that day to stay a little late to assist in juggling both events) Presentation Issues:  Preshow Clips/Playlist:  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up:  Yi Yi  played to a near sold out crowd in theater 1 this evening HBO x NewFest screening in theater 1 went smoothly overall despite the hosts wanting to change the spotlight settings at the last minute (again) which was ultimately shot down. Set up was broken down after the show (the spare mic stand is behind the curtains beside the stanchions). Plex playback needed the slightest troubleshooting but was resolved before the guests in attendance got down to Trees. DJ set went well and the equipment was broken down afterwards. ***Soundhouse equipment rental was packed up and put away in the storage close

To do this evening/ was completed: Attached one of our new (4/6 bin) 1/8th to RCA cables into the 750 nonsync input in T2. The NewFest Spotify playlist is on the rack monitor. We're logged into the projection account so no need to give anyone a heads up when using Spotify. Playlist for the show will switch over to nonsync a few seconds in, just have the music playing and you'll be fine. Tested mics and spots, those are fine. Note that the hosts decided to add a spot setting for the Q&A today. It's one spot to the left of the screen and one center stage, I made this preset and it's bank 1 scene 7.-AL DJ equipment is set up in Trees. We rented it and it's getting picked up tomorrow, so please break it down at the end of the night. The cases are under the equipment on the table in Trees. Some cables were included with the rental, so be sure to include these in the cases for returning. It'll be pretty obvious which are theirs, they have a velcro fastener which s

To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Double checked tomorrow evening's HBO/NewFest SPL and everything appears in order for the run of show Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up:  Paddington 2  private event in theater 6 this evening went very smoothly (the blu-ray was brought down to the MOD office after the show concluded) Don't Tell Her It's Me screening in theater 1 went smoothly save for an error with the picture during the intro (the film's trailer had been added to the SPL in place of the custom slide with all the necessary cues so it paused on a random frame at the start of the clip before switching to the mic channel) and Cristina was alerted to it; skipped ahead after the intro concluded and began the feature   Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): The Boy and the Heron and Demon Slayer posters were delivered and stored behind 3/7 Ordering/Receiving (content): Updated keys for The Iron Claw were delivered a

To do this evening/ was completed: Our weekly projection notice has been sent out. Please take the time to read through it, making note of the events you'll be supporting and what you might need some guidance on. Also, I've been noticing recently that folks have been forgetting to make sure that for all normal SE events, there's usually only five minutes of trailers instead of ten. Always check the playlist and the event memo (if there is one) and you're unsure. Thanks, team!  What can get tech'd tomorrow: Time Bandits (credits info/volume), Lisa Frankenstein (double check credits and check volume!) What can get tech'd Friday:  You've Got Mail (volume), SOF , Car Wash Staff Screenings are out! I got the 'okay' from Matthew to put the first screening in T2 tomorrow, but for the next few weeks, we're generally going to be avoiding putting staff screenings in T2 and T4.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: NewFestxHBO playlist has been b

To do this evening/ was completed: A double feature of Trivia and Super Fly was enough to keep me busy for the night.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Super Fly went fine. I was having a little trouble with framing on the second reel, but I was keeping an eye on it. Other than that it went well. Everything is broken down and packed up.  Trivia went smoothly. Everything's broken down and put back Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Updated Zone of Interest keys uploaded Outgoing/Shipping (content): Once Super Fly was done, I packed it up and put in on the cart to be picked up tomorrow Print/video Inspection: Did a post-inspection on Super Fly and put it back on its shipping reels.  Asset tracking doc updated/checked?: Yes Maintenance/cleaning: I cleaned the Theater 4 projectors both before and after the show.  Cue sheets updated/checked (every shift): Did the cue sheets for next w

To do this evening/ was completed: Ran through all NSF Opening Nite shorts with Programming, aspect and volumes logged in the Tech Spreadsheet. Tech'd Thomasine and Bushrod with Cristina in T2, volume and credits offset added to playlist. Tech'd Paddington 2, volume and credits added to playlist. Slightly adjusted T6 scope lens file. Ran loops in T4, framing and focus set for tonight. Added Quick Controls back to T6 and T7. NoBudge 37 shorts and Streets of Fire removed from servers. **Around 4:30 today I took a look at the day's schedule in TMS and saw that there was nothing scheduled in T7. This is very odd because I checked the today's cue sheets last night by cross referencing with the TMS and the playlists were there. The playlists were also missing in T7 for tomorrow 2/7 and 2/8. Rescheduled those. Checked the T7 IMS to see if the schedule had remained there but it was blank. Odd. Triple-checked feature content and it's all there on the server but the time on t

To do this evening/ was completed: 2/9 A1 and SE playlists built. New Sort Of slide ingested, re-ingested Paddington 2 to T6. NoBudge went smoothly. Checked in on volume a few times throughout, no issue. Presentation Issues: Round 3 T6 ultimately had to be canceled. The screen went blank and the cleaning lights came up at the moment the trailers concluded. Looked at the T6 server and saw an error message stating "could not load show playlist, unknown error". Then I saw that the feature in question, American Fiction, was not loaded onto the T6 IMS. So I started to transfer the content from TMS hoping it would move quickly but instead the CCAP file just immediately disappeared from the ingest monitor tab, while the OCAP file transferred normally (nowhere near quickly enough to salvage the show). Went to ingest logs and there was no "ingest failure" for the CCAP file. Scrolled through the logs and found that the CCAP feature file failed to ingest at 1:30 pm today. Afte

Projection Admin 2/5 Lillian (sorry for how long this one is)

To do this evening/ was completed: Big day. Lots of maintenance. I apologize for the length, but it's all (mostly!) good and important stuff, so I appreciate you taking the time to read through. All my notes are in bold. - L DMS came in this morning to reinstall the projector in T3, replace the servers with IMS3000s in T6 & T7, and finally fix that pesky douser in T4. I got in at 9, as did Colin, but Jerry didn't get in until a little later. Things started around ten, but despite the late start, things went quite well. Colin got a head start on the removal in T3 so we could jump in once Jerry got in.  I reached out to Deluxe as soon as I saw the serial numbers for the new servers so we could get those KDMs as fast as possible. The correct serial numbers now correspond to their respective rooms.  Ingested content has been going just fine in T6. I want to note that, if you look at the interface of the IMS for T6, you'll see a warning that says "storage/data needs ass
