The TL;DR of this whole saga is essentially that I'd like to suggest, for future cases like this one in which there is no DCP and 35mm isn't an option, that we get a blu-ray and rip/convert that whenever possible. The new link we downloaded the other day (and DCP'd) is of better quality, for sure, but when taking a look at it today, it cuts off before the credits and we're left with just a black image. I tried opening the source file on the computer (4/6 and T1, just to be sure) and had issues skipping around in it. I couldn't get to the credits part, so in order to actually open it, I put it through handbrake to make it an mp4 and was able to confirm that it cuts off in the source file, which means the issue didn't happen whilst DCPing, but could have happened whilst downloading it to the desktop ( or the source file itself is mucked up). Instead of redownloading the same file, Desmond found another, which I tried downloading but it was just as large as the previous, so I went through a few others and finally landed on one that wouldn't crap out on me while downloading, but then...

When we're making formulas for new first run movies, make sure you're entering the runtimes correctly, there have been a few times where it hasn't been right. In the First Run Formulas tab, the top three rows display the total runtime of the movie, the runtime of the movie MINUS credits, and the runtime of credits only, respectively. The only values that should be entered into the actual formula, which will be copied to the cue sheets, are the latter two: the runtime minus credits (in the Start Credits section) and the runtime of the credits only (in the End Credits section), the full runtime of the movie should not be entered anywhere except for that top row, which does not get copied to the cue sheets. The formula for The Monkey had the total runtime entered in the Start Credits section so cue sheet timing was off for all the shows. There was a "lamp off" cue mistakenly added to the top of the playlist right after the "lamp on" cue in the MBB playlist. I removed it. The discoloration in the last reel is noticeable but quite faint. The line is still understandable in these cases but I'd recommend starting this screening on P1 (it's 5 reels) since the same thing doesn't happen on this projector. To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: Ran into some trouble at the start of the final round in theater 3 this evening ( The Brutalist  @ 8:30PM) since the content did not load properly. Showtimes in this auditorium and theater 7 have been stacked back to back all afternoon and evening which has caused similar issues/delays in the past. The projector went offline at the end of the previous round so I was unable to load any content from Screenwriter or the IMS. I shut down the lamp and power cycled the machine once its cool down was complete which allowed me to load the show playlist. This initial confusion and the time taken to troubleshoot everything caused a near 30 minute delay to the start of the programming so I ended up having to skip ahead in the playlist to the beginning of the trailer pack -- leaving the house lights up for their duration so the servers could continue taking orders -- and brought them down manually once the feature was on screen. The issue was caused by the GPI trigger cue which is necessary for the server to respond to the fire alarm, so we won't remove it.
