To do this evening/ was completed: Presentation Issues: During the  Runaway Train screening in theater 4, reel 4 snapped at its countdown as I was preparing to change over to it from reel 3 on projector 1 (I had mistakenly placed too much tension on the film around the analog sound head). This forced me to stop the machine and temporarily bring the house lights up, after which I radioed the MODs to let them know about the delay and quickly spliced the torn film back together, taking care to loosen the tension around the sound head and start again. This lasted just a couple minutes and the two remaining change overs in the print were completed without error Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: NoBudge #39 intro, screening, and Q&A with the filmmakers went very smoothly + mics were returned to the booth to charge Runaway Train screening in theater 4 went well despite the brief interruption described above Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ord

To do this evening/ was completed: Lotta folks around this part of town due to the marathon. Glad I left early this morning. I've never seen so many people in a Connecticut Muffin. 3/5/& 7 air cons went down this afternoon. We'll be okay in 3/7, but we should periodically check in on 5. It won't be the end of the world, but MOD is on it to get the techs in here to fix the AC units.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Deleted content we no longer need.  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Saw Mr. Lane today at Eyes Wide Shut.  Also had a very, very fun time projecting this print. To do this evening/ was completed: Busy night with Challengers ! Made the rounds. Checked in on T5 booth and gave it a bit of clean.  Presentation Issues: Not a major issue since it was fixed asap, but the house lights down cue didn't automate in T6 during final round ( Monkey Man ). I checked the playlist and it had nothing missing. Had no issue until last round. Quick controls worked just fine, nothing wrong with the IMS page either, but worth noting since we've had a recent scuff with this one. Preshow Clips/Playlist: Built almost all of the rep and SE playlists for 5/03, just waiting on the slide for Antonia's Line , along with the Event Memos info for the Doc n Roll features.  Trailer Updates: Couldn't find the Do Not Expect trailer in the TMS despite being in there on the ingest log page, so I rebooted the TMS and it showed up. This has happened before. Just a heads up in case anyone has experienced this.  Scheduled The Fall Guy on the TMS for Thursday.  Special

This 100-minute movie comes to us on 8 (eight) reels for some reason, which explains the two large cans. I inspected 6 and will finish the last two (incredibly short) reels tomorrow. Though this was struck in 2010 it's lived a life. Nothing crazy, just rougher than you'd expect for such a new print! The image looks really good though so this will play very well. To do this evening/ was completed: No issues this evening. Quite a quiet night on my end. Waiting to hear back from the folks with Dogville . Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Went over the A1 and SE playlists for this upcoming week to double check everything.  I watched the last bit of Civil War this evening and noticed that the first bit of credits are against a white backdrop, which is where the lights first come up. I'm going to take another look at this tomorrow as I think we should change the cue in the playlist so that it doesn't obstruct the image or take folks out of the movie a little too early.  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up:  Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): Checked the TMS schedule for any missing KDMs. Uploaded new keys for Civil War and La Chimera .  Outgoing/Shipping (content): Print/video Inspection: Inspected the last three reels of Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore. Theater 2 and 3 are holding strong. I preloaded the first playlist in 3 just to make sure the KDM validated, which it did, although for some reason it didn't start come the scheduled time (this could be a IMS2/IMS3 difference, that it won't start at the scheduled time if a playlist is already loaded for playback). Think that made MODs nervous but I started it a few minutes late when they called me. No issues after that. Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Toward the end of the first reel, about 3-ish minutes before the end, of ASOUE I noticed the focus going in and out. To do this evening/ was completed: School screening in T1 went just fine this morning, as did the staff screenings.  No cancelling shows today! Chris came in this morning to work on T2 and T3. The IMS was replaced entirely, but the OS in the old IMS was also replaced, so we can use it as backup. We figured the more secure thing to do would be to just install a new IMS (thought it probably would've been just fine with the old IMS, newly restored). T2 was back up and running and I received the KDMs with enough time to upload them and ingest any content we didn't have prior to this happening.  T3 had its power sources changed, despite the fact that the PIB gave us a tough time when first powering the projector back on. We'll want a new one. I believe we used the spare the last time we had issues with it in T3. Everything is working properly now though, and despite needing to hold off on seating for a little while in 3, which proves to be a fickle working environment, we were a

We did have to cancel the last two rounds and I so appreciate MOD for being patient with us, I know you folks have got to interface with patrons directly and it's a major bummer when this stuff happens.  Weekly update is out. Few new bits added to this week tech wise, and hopefully we can get everything sorted with T2 to safely proceed.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Scheduled more of the TMS. Once the bulb was cooled off I rebooted the projector and waited for it to connect to its server but, despite the green lights up and down the touch pad and on the marriage button on the side panel, the projector was still not showing up on the TMS and the IMS webpage could not be connected to. I sent an email to DMS regarding the issue in Th2 from last night, seems eerily similar to what's been happening in Th3. I asked DMS to order the same replacement parts for 2 as they did for 3. To do this evening/ was completed: T6 IMS went down towards the end of the first round ( Dune ), but since it was already in playback, the feature continued to play as normal. Then, during preshow in T2, the projector gave us a communication failure warning and a power supply fan warning and, yes, the APC is something, but we've been having network issues all day, apparently, or at least MOD has been having them, too. I powercycled/reseated T6 and that did the trick. We were late to seat in that theatre, but the rest of preshow/trailers were absolutely fine once we advanced the playlist. T2 (different-ish story) but this happened right after T6. Since the KDM error popped up on T2, I knew there was a strong, strong chance the feature wouldn't play and once the lights didn't go down during trailers, that was it. So I radioed MOD and told them we needed to powercycle (I should have done this earlier instead of gambling on it working and to MOD,  again I apologize). basically

I'm curious as to why this seems to be happening--as Alec mentioned--over the weekends.  Q2 Annual Reviews submitted.  Ran through all new information received in regard to the rentals and other forms of private/special events we have on over the next few days, with a notes on a few things happening towards the end of the month.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist:  Kept on building playlists for this upcoming week, 4/19, and seeing as how the DCPII drive went down, (not our only way of receiving content, but it's used more for this organizing more than anything else) I had a look through our TMS content in comparison to the new trailer sheet to double check we have everything sans the trailer we'll be receiving on Tuesday.  Trailer Updates: Built the R trailer packs (we will add the trailer for She Wants Revenge  to the packs and playlists that need them on Tuesday!) I have

To do this evening/ was completed: We have two back to back marquee rentals on Monday and Tuesday, both for shoots in the morning. I'll put up the copy for Monday tomorrow night. The rental for Tuesday is using the front and the left (35mm title) side. This is probably going to have to go up during the day or early evening on Monday since there's the 35mm screening Monday night. I wrote down all the copy for Tuesday and put it up on the whiteboard, there's quite a lot of text. The Monday event will be shooting in Trees as well as out front, and they have three music videos they want to have played on the projector screen and TVs. I downloaded them all from Youtube and added them to our Plex, they are in the library titled "PinkPantheress 4/15"  Theater 3 went down again. I was expecting it because it's happened the past two Saturdays in a row, but it still managed to catch me off guard, happening during the first round. MOD radioed me that the movie shut off t

To do this evening/ was completed: I think the DCPII drive might have died on us, it's not being recognized by the computer or the TMS. R.I.P. I don't think there was anything on there that hasn't been ingested. Continuing to convert NoBudge shorts to DCP. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Checked the Zoom connection in T1 for the potential virtual Q&A after Cohen & Tate on Monday. It works well! The webcam is connected to the iMac, so we can do the Zoom call off that. Wireless mics are connected directly to the webcam, and they're also connected to the PA speakers. The iMac is connected to the projector as well. To get it on screen, just switch to blu-Ray 177 zoom on the projector and Non-Sync on the sound processor, have the PA speakers and Yamaha mixer on so the mic can be heard in the theater. Cristina will let us know once this is confirmed. Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receivi

To do this evening/ was completed: Did the driver exchange with Yves from DMS this morning/afternoon. We took one of the drivers out of T2 and put it in T1. I've talked to Alec and Matthew about what we did today (which took a good amount of team work and problem solving but it went well!) and this is just sort of a temp fix until we get new gear. Arrival date for our new drivers is 4/16, Tuesday, for at least one of them. There will be a breakdown of everything we did in our email thread. Checked levels/ran pink noise multiple times and tested content.  Cinema Meeting was fast but productive. We're set on content - just waiting on the DCP of La Chimera (mentioned below)  Weekly Projection update for the week ahead is out! Please get your eyes on it. Lots going on.  Staff Screenings are out!  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (content): The keys for Civil War

To do this evening/ was completed: Hello! This is Lillian. Popped in for a few hours today.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: I built out the playlist for Dawn of the Dead and made sure to include the Nitehawk Festival trailer that Kat noted. It still needs to have the end credit/volume cues.  Brought up the volume for  Monkey Man  in the 4/05 playlists. I had a listen to this today. It helps with an increase. All in T1 today. - L Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Talked to Chenelle about a shoot happening next Monday. They're going to be using the marquee, but asked if it would be possible to manually switch the lights on during the day. I asked Lillian who said she would ask Matthew.  They also want to have videos playing in Trees on both the TVs and the projector screen, which is no problem. They'll send us the files and then we can make a playlist in Plex.  Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Received a poster for  Tarot .  Ordering/Receivin

To do this evening/ was completed: Theater 3 held it together tonight. Will mentioned this in his blog, but the subwoofers in Theater 1 are not producing any sound right now. I know we're going to replace these, but they should still be making noise. Levels for the subwoofers show up normally on the CP750, and go out to the amp, yet nothing is reproduced by the speakers, including signal from the CP750 alignment mode. I checked the wiring to the speakers and it's all fine. I'm going to write DMS about it tomorrow morning. As far as presentation goes, I had Monkey Man to go on today (which is the only first run feature playing in there until Thursday). It doesn't sound bad per se, but there's definitely something missing. Will keep you all updated. Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Deleted all last week's playlists and the Immaculate feature. Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Ordering/Receiving (posters & trailers): Ordering/Receiving (
