To do this evening/ was completed: More NewFest techs today!  Dustin, Desmond and I took a look at The Silence of My Hands in T3, then Queens of Drama in T1 followed by two shorts programs. We're looking pretty good, although we made a few notes about two or three DCPs that will need to get double checked again (mostly ratio q's).  We received new DCPs today for Gender Reveal , Sydney and Kim , and City of Dreams . - FOR TONIGHT: I have downloaded and unzipped the new DCP of Gender Reveal (V2), which is on the DCPIII drive. The new DCPs of City of Dreams and Sydney and Kim  have been downloaded in T1 and are currently getting copied over to the DCPIII drive. Once those two on are the drive, please ingest all three shorts. Thanks! The old shorts are off the TMS.  For our next tech on Wednesday, we will need I Used To Be A Woman But I Gave It All Up For Christ feature in T3. We do not have this DCP yet. To do this evening/ was completed: Cable for Trees was on the fritz this evening. I took a look at this in the booth and the AJA's hdmi and ethernet ports weren't lighting up, only the charge. I changed out the ethernet cable, fiddled with the hdmi, blew air to clean the ports and circuit board and the green lights seemed to occasionally flicker then, but nothing more. I'll try a different transmitter tomorrow to see if that helps. I took a look at everything just myself early this morning just to make sure there would be no surprises. Everything went super well. Dustin was actively marking down sound and ratio information whilst I adjusted the features. The information for each film will be available in the tabs Nitehawk 1, Nitehawk 2, and Nitehawk 3 in the master doc.  Note: For tomorrow! We will be teching Rookie & Gondola in T3, plus the TLC Shorts and Besties Shorts. Both shorts programs are ready to go with their tech playlists in T1 - built them yesterday and double checked today. Three of the shorts ( Plaisir, Cramming and Thirstygirl) have yet to be tech'd, and I see Desmond mentioning that we can look at those either tomorrow or Friday, so that'll get taken care of then. Also see that Shutterbird is listed as 1.85 but I wrote down that the film is 2.00:1 in my notes during tech. I can't remember if that is true so we should put that one back on screen just to make sure. Inspected The Ring. It is in excellent condition. Back on shipping reels for now. Stills uploaded to Drive, Conrad notified. Put Mad Dog and Glory on house reels. Extremely Unique and Hidden Flora ingested to T1, Carnage  and Gondola to T3. Tops already on T3 server.  Extremely Unique took only 15 minutes to ingest while Flora took over an hour. To do this evening/ was completed: Metallica was the hardest show I've had in awhile, which Alec warned me of. The cues were terrible to begin with as they were printed on the 1.85 ratio instead of the film's true 1.37. Not uncommon for stuff like that, but a pain in the ass, coupled with port window not having any space to see the cues (whilst on projector 1). I had a delayed changeover on the first reel, the first one I've missed during a show in a few years, so I'm bummed about that, but the rest of the show went fine. Thank you to McKegg, who I had shout out the cues to me from the other side of booth when it was too difficult to see them on some reels. Since Shay was out, we were working through Kevin's computer, which was not set up for the usual displays and sound was acting all sorts of crazy when playing through the projector. It would fast forward through anything we tried to play (video, audio, etc). Kevin had a lot of apps and tabs open, so I suspect that might've been the culprit, but instead we opted for the guest's computer and that seemed to work fine. On Jerry's suggestion, we plugged the power cables that were connected to the APC into a powerstrip and got the preshow going again about twenty minutes later. Looked at the playlist to see a 4.5 volume cue for How To Order. I know the cue was put there intentionally but the volume's too much so I removed it from playlists.  Reached out to DHL/Universal for Cry Baby pickup. Presentation Issues: When the first preshow in Th7 started, the lamp shut itself off about a minute in. I tried just restriking it twice from the touch pad but it shut itself off shortly after. Powered the projector down, unplugged both power cables and plugged them back in. The lamp stayed on without a problem after powering back on. We'll keep an eye on this, this can happen (infrequently) and doesn't necessarily mean something is in need of replacement. To do this evening/ was completed: Checked up on the booth in theater 2 during the first round's pre-show and fortunately did not see any signs of new and/or continued leaks or condensation coming from the A/C Presentation Issues: The second round in theater 6 began normally but as soon as the feature started the screen went dark (despite all cues triggering correctly and the lamp being switched on/the dowser opening up) and there was no picture for a little over 5 minutes -- I brought the house lights up and rewound the film...for some reason closing and reopening the dowser seemed to fix this bug...at which point I played the feature from the start (the trigger warning slide into the feature) and the issue was resolved [note: I will start the next round manually because of the negative flip and keep an eye on it -- update: no trouble to report this round with the dowser  malfunctioning  or picture failing to project ] Preshow Clips/Playlist: Trailer Updates: Specia...

It is in similarly pristine condition. The head leader for reel three was hanging loose inside of the can, basically wrapped around the exterior of reel two in a way that seemed intentional. No damage found but just mentioning it here. Stills uploaded to Drive, Conrad notified. My Old Ass private screening and Q&A went smoothly. Equipment broken down afterward. Aubrey Plaza came through. Ingested Nowhere, Donnie Darko and Female Prisoner Scorpion to their respective servers. The Substance ingested to TMS. Had another T2 ADA seat discrepancy.
