To do this evening/ was completed: Dustin came round today to begin NewFest techs in T1 and T3! I took a look at everything just myself early this morning just to make sure there would be no surprises. Everything went super well. Dustin was actively marking down sound and ratio information whilst I adjusted the features. The information for each film will be available in the tabs Nitehawk 1, Nitehawk 2, and Nitehawk 3 in the master doc.  Note: For tomorrow! We will be teching Rookie & Gondola in T3, plus the TLC Shorts and Besties Shorts. Both shorts programs are ready to go with their tech playlists in T1 - built them yesterday and double checked today. I am redownloading the last file (video file) for the DCP of Rookie in 4/6, to the Almodovar drive. It should be done in about two hours. Do not close the tab.  Gondola is ready to go in T3.  *The DCP of Queens of Drama came in today and I am downloading it via ftp (cyberduck) in T1. This will be for part of our tech on Mond

Three of the shorts ( Plaisir, Cramming and Thirstygirl) have yet to be tech'd, and I see Desmond mentioning that we can look at those either tomorrow or Friday, so that'll get taken care of then. Also see that Shutterbird is listed as 1.85 but I wrote down that the film is 2.00:1 in my notes during tech. I can't remember if that is true so we should put that one back on screen just to make sure. Inspected The Ring. It is in excellent condition. Back on shipping reels for now. Stills uploaded to Drive, Conrad notified. Put Mad Dog and Glory on house reels. Extremely Unique and Hidden Flora ingested to T1, Carnage  and Gondola to T3. Tops already on T3 server.  Extremely Unique took only 15 minutes to ingest while Flora took over an hour. I am currently downloading Gondola to the preshows/trailers drive since I couldn't find it anywhere on the desktop (this had apparently been downloaded, but I couldn't find it anywhere), so once that is finished, please unzip it and ingest this along with Carnage 4 Christmas , which I downloaded to the preshows/trailers drive today. For time's sake, I'm sort of scrapping the "who's responsible for what" section, at least to an extent, so I have one of Will's features Rookie open on the desktop (it's the frame.io link!) which you can also download tonight, but I would do this after unzipping Gondola and ingest

To do this evening/ was completed: Metallica was the hardest show I've had in awhile, which Alec warned me of. The cues were terrible to begin with as they were printed on the 1.85 ratio instead of the film's true 1.37. Not uncommon for stuff like that, but a pain in the ass, coupled with port window not having any space to see the cues (whilst on projector 1). I had a delayed changeover on the first reel, the first one I've missed during a show in a few years, so I'm bummed about that, but the rest of the show went fine. Thank you to McKegg, who I had shout out the cues to me from the other side of booth when it was too difficult to see them on some reels. Since Shay was out, we were working through Kevin's computer, which was not set up for the usual displays and sound was acting all sorts of crazy when playing through the projector. It would fast forward through anything we tried to play (video, audio, etc). Kevin had a lot of apps and tabs open, so I suspect that might've been the culprit, but instead we opted for the guest's computer and that seemed to work fine. On Jerry's suggestion, we plugged the power cables that were connected to the APC into a powerstrip and got the preshow going again about twenty minutes later. Presentation Issues: When the first preshow in Th7 started, the lamp shut itself off about a minute in. I tried just restriking it twice from the touch pad but it shut itself off shortly after. Powered the projector down, unplugged both power cables and plugged them back in. The lamp stayed on without a problem after powering back on. We'll keep an eye on this, this can happen (infrequently) and doesn't necessarily mean something is in need of replacement. It is in similarly pristine condition. The head leader for reel three was hanging loose inside of the can, basically wrapped around the exterior of reel two in a way that seemed intentional. No damage found but just mentioning it here. Stills uploaded to Drive, Conrad notified. My Old Ass private screening and Q&A went smoothly. Equipment broken down afterward. Aubrey Plaza came through. Ingested Nowhere, Donnie Darko and Female Prisoner Scorpion to their respective servers. The Substance ingested to TMS. Had another T2 ADA seat discrepancy. To do this evening/ was completed: Most packed day I've had in a minute. Releasing His Three Daughters today.  I changed the lamp in T2, but checked out the brightness levels beforehand. Ultimately, we've had sensor issues in there for awhile and it's still somewhat of a mystery as to why the flickering keeps happening. No sensor issue post lamp installation and the light wizard setup went just fine, but beforehand, I had to clean out the dust/sand that got in from all the brick work. Scoping it out before installing the new lamp, there is a small circular piece of glass that the light both shines through and reflects off of, which had dirt inside that section and on it. I cleaned it up, along with the rest of the lamp house and the main reflector. Please let me know if anything looks particularly out of sorts this evening, but we should be okay for right now. We'll look into this further with DMS. Still somewhat of an earlier start tomorrow before the first round. Mat

This is a first run title for October.  Presentation Issues: Preshow Clips/Playlist: Tech'd Beetlejuice 2, The Front Room, and His Three Daughters .  Trailer Updates: Special Events/ AV set up: Set up the wireless mic receiver, yamaha mixer, spotlight board and Aja in T1 this morning for Spoons tonight. Everything has been tested - laptop, microphones and spotlight board are all set for the show, just turn on the powerstrip, press each power button for the mics on the receiver, double check to make sure everything's alive and well, then you're golden. There's a usb-c adapter on top of the receiver for the hosts since I believe that's what they typically use.  Since it's relatively unclear as to whether or not the BluRay of Orphan (2000) (for an upcoming private event) will have an AD
